Creation Station: Fall Themed Projects!

Creation Station Header-001

Hello!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you are enjoying the blog hop and getting some good ideas! This round we are featuring fall & harvest themed projects! While I do not yet have any of the fall sets from the new catalog (they are on my list!), I used a couple current sets to make some fall cards. I pulled out the leaves from the set Kinda Eclectic and colored it with Old Olive, Tangerine Tango and Early Espresso markers.  I stamped that on a sheet of Natural Cardstock that was lightly stamped with the set Dictionary. The sentiment is from the set Good Greetings. I just love that font!!

For my next card, I used the feather stamp from the set A Happy Hooray. Clean and simple is my style =) The feathers are stamped in Pool Party, Chocolate Chip and Tangerine Tango.

Stampin’ Up! Feathers

Hello!

I hope you are having a good weekend so far! My friend came over to stamp yesterday and we make a couple cards. This card was inspired by her! We were just sitting there chatting and she starting designing a card and I started stamping away! Thanks Carrie for your inspiration! We started out with a base of Lost Lagoon (the new in color) and added a layer of Soft Suede. On a layer of Naturals Cardstock, we stamped the feather from the set A Happy Hooray in Lost Lagoon, Old Olive and Soft Suede. A little banner with a sentiment from the new hostess special, Good Greetings, completed the card.

Stampin’ Up! Embossed Handcarved

Hello!

Well it is finally Friday! I am really loving the new background set that I got called Handcarved. I wanted to create a simple, quick note card. I embossed the stamp with Basic Black embossing powder and added the simple sentiment from the set A Happy Hooray. I love the contrast of the black and the kraft! This card was quick and easy! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up A Happy Hooray

Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a good weekend so far. The temperature has been near 100 degrees for the past couple of days so what better reason to stay inside and stamp! I have been neglecting my project life cards so I pulled those out and chose a Melon Mambo one. I added this to a base of Kraft card stock. Next I sewed some stitching down the side (crooked on purpose, of course 🙂 ). I had made the little thank you a couple days ago by using white embossing powder on Coastal Cabana card stock. It had been laying on my desk and I thought this was the perfect piece for this card. I added a bit of Smoky Slate ribbon to balance out the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Handcarved

Hello!

Well, I placed my order for the new holiday catalogs the other day and it came today! So of course, I had to add a couple goodies in there for myself. I love backgrounds…like really love them. It is so easy to create a background and add a simple focal point to make a stunning card. I just got the background stamp Handcarved and had to try it out. For this card, I started out with a base of Kraft cardstock and stamped the Handcarved on a piece of Very Vanilla in Crushed Curry. Next, I added a focal point by using the thanks stamp from the set A Happy Hooray and a bit of Champagne Glimmer paper and some retired ribbon.

In other news, last week we took a day and went to some local shut-ins. It was a beautiful day to explore nature.

Stampin’ Up! High Five Background

Hello!

There was one stamp set in the new catalog that I found intriguing, but I was kinda on the fence about buying it. It is not quite my usual style, but I liked it so I took a chance and ordered it! The set High Five is cute and has lots of fun elements. Once of my favorites is the hash stripe. I used this stamp on my card and stamped it several times to create a background. Next, I used the thank you for the set A Happy Hooray and added a retired Pool Party button. Of course, the card is backed on the amazing Kraft Cardstock. So what do you think about this set?

The set High Five is $18.95 for clear mount and $26.95 for wood mount.

Stampin’ Up! A Happy Hooray

Hello and happy Saturday!

Hope you are having a good day so far. I got a chance to stamp a bit last night and I played with a new set from the catalog called A Happy Hooray. I love the geometric shapes and the font and who doesn’t need a feather =) I started out with a base of the new Kraft cardstock..love it! I embossed a piece of retired Summer Starfruit with the Triangles embossing folder. Next, I used the flower from the same set and embossed it with white on a piece of Coastal Cabana. The sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral and finally I added a piece of Smoky Slate ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

First Card of the New Catalog!!

Hello!

Tonight is a good night! I got my first stampin’ order from the new catalog!! I created a clean and simple card using a some new products. I first started with a base of the NEW KRAFT CARDSTOCK! I know it is just paper, but I looooove it! I have been waiting forever for this and it is fabulous! I stamped the sun burst image from the set Kinda Eclectic in Crumb Cake ink and added a Blackberry Bliss banner. This color is to die for! It is so rich and pairs nicely with so many colors. I stamped the Thank You from the set A Happy Hooray in Basic Gray and punched it out with the 1 and 3/8 inches circle punch. Finally, I added a Blackberry Bliss ribbon. The ribbon is luxurious and so easy to tie!
