Stampin’ Up! Day of Gratitude

Hello!

I have had a bit of a lack of creativity lately, so today I decided just to go and stamp for fun. I did use the sketch from Retro Sketches as a starting point. I turned to my favorite color Crumb Cake as my base. I added a layer of Summer Starfruit that was stamped in the same color with the Dictionary background stamp. Next, I pulled out the flower looking stamp from the retired set Day of Gratitude and using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I lined up the stamp. It turned out kinda neat, almost creating a wallpaper effect. Next I wrapped some twine around the layer and added a gold Glimmer Brad. The next step was the sentiment, which is from the new photopolymer set Another Thank You. I punched it out using the Decorative Label Punch. I punched it several times, making it small to fit the sentiment better. Finally, I sponged pretty much every layer with some Crumb Cake ink to add a bit of definition. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great rest of the weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Colorful Leaves

Hello!

Hope you are having a great weekend. Mine was quite busy hence the lack of posts over the last couple days, but I was able to get in some stampin’ this morning. The color challenge at Fab Friday this week is great for a fall themed card. I used a base of Chocolate Chip which, I will admit, I hardly ever used. Ever since Early Espresso came out, I have a hard time using Chocolate Chip, but I think it goes nicely with this card. I small layer of Soft Sky is tucked behind the main layer of Very Vanilla. I pulled out the leaf stamp from the set Day of Gratitude. I stamped it randomly in Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango and Soft Sky. I created a small flag for the sentiment from the set Sincere Salutations. It is backed on a piece of Sahara Sand. If you like this color combination, be sure to check out the new Sweater Weather DSP in the Fall catalog! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thanksgiving

Hello!

What…? A Thanksgiving card? Well the challenge over at Addicted to CAS is to create a holiday card. Since I am not quite in the Christmas spirit yet, I decided to make a Thanksgiving card. I drew my sketch inspiration from the card at CASE Study. I started out with a base of Soft Suede and added a layer of Pool Party. I chose a circular shape to mimic the wreath on the CASE Study card. I stamped the images in the retired color More Mustard. I added a flag with the sentiment from the set Day of Gratitude and a retired Pool Party button tied with Linen Thread. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ UP! Day of Gratitude

Hello fellow stampers!

Today I created a card for the challenge over at Fab Friday. For some reason, this challenge was very hard for me which is surprising because the sketch seems very simple. I just could not find a stamp that I wanted to use. So I pulled out a leaf of all things! I had to substitute Pumpkin Pie for Tangerine Tango (but my Tangerine Tango is on its way from Stampin’ UP!). I created a flagged banner with Island Indigo cardstock and folded over one edge and secured it with a couple of brads. The Thanks A Million stamp comes from the set Delightful Dozen. By using these colors, I played a long over at The Friday Mashup too! Thanks for looking!

Clean & Simple Leaves

Happy Saturday!

Today I created a card for CASology using leaves. I would definitely describe by style as clean and simple so this is a great challenge for me. I immediately knew what stamp set I wanted to use so I chose the leaves from the set Day of Gratitude.  I left a lot of open space to focus on the simplicity of the leaves and finished the card off with a rub-on sentiment.
