I love creating a little something extra special for my friend’s birthdays. The decorated the little bag below and filled it with some candy for by BFF’s birthday. Forgive me for the random background, I snapped the picture really quick before I gave it to her LOL. I stamped the bottom of the bag with the Dotty Angles stamp set and heat embossed with Whisper White Embossing Powder. The lollie was created using Basic Gray Cardstock and then I heat embossed the sentiment from the set Perfect Pennants on Coastal Cabana.
I think a little something extra can really make a person’s day so I challenge you to make something extra special for a friend’s birthday rather than just a Facebook message =)
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
I hope you had a great 4th of July weekend! Mine was spent with family and friends and it was a great time. If you are stumbled upon the blog hop, the Creation Station is a blog hop made up by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, we try to bring you some inspiration while featuring a theme and a stamp set. This time around, we are featuring the stamp set Dotty Angles and our theme is confetti!
Dotty Angles is an awesome new stamp from the 2014-2015 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. It immediately caught my eye and was one of my favorite stamp sets from the new catalog. The set is photopolymer and is $15.95. It is a fun set so be sure to add it to your next order!
The first project I created I used the color combination of Coastal Cabana, Sahara Sand and Whisper White. I stamped the dots from the set Dotty Angles in Versamark and then used White Embossing Powder. I added a large circle stamped with the Hello from the set Hi There.
For my next project, I featured the theme confetti. I am loving the new Project Life cards, they are so easy to create a simple card with. I use the small stamp from the set Hi There and added a banner. I kept the sentiment small as to not overwhelm the busy background.
For the last project, I know I shared this with you for the last blog hop since we feature the Gift Card Enclosures, but I wanted to showcase the set Dotty Angles one last time!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to hop along to Jennifer Downey’s amazing creations or back to Jennifer Frost!
We are back for Round 4 of the Creation Station blog hop! We are featuring some great new products this round so be sure to check out all of the blogs! For this round, I focused on the Gift Card Enclosure Pack. This is one of the items in the new catalog that is really a good bang for your buck. You get 10 of these gift card enclosures for just $5.95! They are so easy to use and decorate and make giving a not so special gift card a bit more special.
So we also had the theme this round of weddings so for my first example I created a wedding gift card holder. Have I told you how much I loooove the new Kraft cardstock? Well these enclosures are made for the same amazing paper. They are so easy to work with and any color pops of the great kraft base. I used a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper to add a bit of pizazz to the front and then used some Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon to add a bit of texture. Have you ever tried the “bunching effect” with seam binding? Just pull one of the middle threads and push the ribbon down while holding the thread! I pulled out a stamp from a retired set Sincere Salutations because I just couldn’t find a good wedding stamp.
For the next example, I wanted to make it a bit more fun! Hands down, my favorite set in the new catalog is Dotty Angles. I used it here on this example by embossing it with white embossing powder. I love how it pops against the kraft background. I added a sentiment from the new set Hi There and even squeezed in a bit of the retired Summer Starfruit cardstock.
To keep with the dotty theme, I embossed two of the back panels with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder. To keep this one closed, I punched two small holes and tied it with some Linen Thread. You can also close these by doing the box technique where you tuck one flap underneath the other one.
These enclosures even have pre-cut slits for the gift card! You don’t have to use them though! As you can see here, I created a pocket by adding another piece of cardstock. You can easily tuck cash into these too!
Be sure to hop back to see Jennifer Frost’s amazing creations or forward to Jennifer Downey. I am surrounded by Jennifers! Be sure to add the Gift Card Enclosures to your next Stampin’ Up! order. They really are a great product!
