Stampin’ Up! One Tag Fits All

I have another 3×3 card to share today. I love these little things, they are just the right amount of cute to make someone feel special. For this card, I designed a birthday card by using the cake from the new set One Tag Fits All that will be in the new 2015 Occasions Catalog. The stamp comes with a sentiment, but I trimmed it off and created two stamps so I could just stamp the cake repeatedly in Baked Brown Sugar. The sentiment is one that I have been hanging onto from the set Essentials. I like that it is a masculine font.

I think this card makes a quick and easy masculine birthday card. What do you think?

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Banners

Last night I had some friends over for a stampin’ night. We usually make three to four cards and here is one that we made last night. It was roughly cased from a sample in the new 2015 Sale A Bration brochure. I started out with a base of Kraft cardstock and cut out banners using the framelits in Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana. I stamped the Happy Birthday in Real Red and that stamp is from the retired set Essentials. A Real Red Candy Dot adds a bit of fun to the card while keeping it masculine.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stampin!

Stampin’ Up! Paint Splatters

I have been in a bit of a stampin’ rut lately so I went to Pinterest for a bit of inspiration. I haven’t used the set Gorgeous Grunge in a while so I thought this would be a great opportunity to pull it out. I stamped the small splatter stamp in Bermuda Bay, Lucky Limeaid (retired) and Coastal Cabana. I added a small banner with a sentiment from the retired set Essentials and backed the card on a base of Bermuda Bay. Quick and easy!

Stampin’ Up! Project Life Word Bubble

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a good week so far! It has been quite a while since I played along with a challenge so I thought I would give the challenge at The Friday Mashup a go. The challenge was to use a word bubble so I kept this card simple. I love, love, love the Project Life cards. I had a couple friends over to stamp on Monday night and I made a challenge where we each had to pick a Project Life card and make a card with it. The cards came out super cute and I love seeing everyone’s ideas. So for this card, I just used a 3 x 4 inch Project Life card and added a word bubble stamped with the Happy Birthday from the retired set Essentials. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch Background

I love the color combination at Color Q this week so I wanted to give it a try. I felt like it called for a sorta funky stamp so I pulled out the stamp from the set Mixed Bunch and stamped it several times to create a background. Can’t get more simple than that! I layered that on a piece of Calypso Coral and then a base of Smoky Slate since I did not  have any Going Gray cardstock. A simple sentiment from the retired set Essentials finishes off the card. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Lots of Hearts

Just wanted to share a card that I made last night for the challenge at Just Us Girls. I cut a lot of hearts out using the Hearts A Flutter framelits and then sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges. I added one Primrose Petals heart and a second one on top which was scored down the middle. I just added a simple “You” sentiment that was colored from the “Thank You” from the set Essentials. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Masculine Birthday

Hope you are having a great Monday so far. The challenge at The Paper Players is to create a masculine birthday card. It always feels that I never have enough masculine birthday cards so this was a great challenge. I started out with a base of Old Olive and and added a layer of Basic Gray. I added a piece of wood-grain DSP from a previous My Paper Pumpkin kit. I stamped the Happy Birthday from the retired set Essentials onto a Smoky Slate flag and added a piece of Smokey Slate Chevron Ribbon. A retired metal button tied with some Baker’s Twine completes the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Chalkboard Birthday

So I have not created a birthday card in a while and my second cousin is turning one in a little while so I decided to make him a card! The theme is chalkboard and is going to be so cute so I stuck with that as my basic idea. I started out with a base of Bermuda Bay and added a layer of Whisper White with a Basic Black layer on top. To create the chalkboard effect, I drew a border around the layer with a white colored pencil and sponged a bit of Whisper White Craft Ink onto the Basic Black. Next, I added a couple banners in the colors Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango and Bermuda Bay and a large metal button (retired) tied with some Whisper White Baker’s Twine. Finally I stamped the sentiment from the retired set Essentials in Craft Ink. SInce this is a birthday card, I will be linking up to the Seize the Birthday challenge where Anything Goes!
