Stampin’ Up! Something Lacy – 2015 Occasions Catalog

Well I got my preorder from the new 2015 Occasions Catalog the other day and have had a lot of fun playing with the new products. One stamp set that I got was the background stamp called Something Lacy. I first stamped the stamp in the black Memento ink. I then used the Blendabilties to color the stamp. So this was my first time ever using Stampin’ Up!’s Blendabilities and actually first time ever using an alcohol based marker. I am in love! The ink lays down on the paper so smooth. It is so much fun to color with these markers. For this card, I used Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Old Olive, but I can’t wait to get more colors!

Stampin’ Up! Paint Splatters

I have been in a bit of a stampin’ rut lately so I went to Pinterest for a bit of inspiration. I haven’t used the set Gorgeous Grunge in a while so I thought this would be a great opportunity to pull it out. I stamped the small splatter stamp in Bermuda Bay, Lucky Limeaid (retired) and Coastal Cabana. I added a small banner with a sentiment from the retired set Essentials and backed the card on a base of Bermuda Bay. Quick and easy!

Stampin’ Up! Just Saying!

Almost to the weekend! I made a quick card last night for the birthday challenge at Seize the Birthday. I started out with some Gumball Green Coordinations card stock and embossed it with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I then lightly sanded the raised honeycombs. Next, I punched out a Coastal Cabana circle and stamped the ink splatter from the set Gorgeous Grunge. Next, I stamped the word bubble from the upcoming Occasions catalog in Basic Gray and punched it out using the coordinating framelit. Finally, I added a retired banner from a Simply Scrappin’ kit and a metal brad. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Kraft Dictionary

Hope you are having a good Labor Day weekend! I am looking forward to relaxing and spending some time with family…and stampin’ of course! I made a quick card for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. I thought the challenge was a great one…to use Kraft and some sort of “type” on your card. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake (Kraft). The challenge at Just Us Girls is to use distressing on your card so I took this card in that direction. I added a layer of Summer Starfruit that I roughed up with my scissors and then a Very Vanilla layer. On that I layer I stamped the Dictionary stamp in Basic Gray and sponged Soft Suede around the edges to give it a distressed look. I also stamped some of the small splatters from the set Gorgeous Grunge in Crumb Cake. To finish off the card I added a little banner with the sentiment from the retired set Essentials. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Oh Hello With Speech Bubble

Hope you are having a great weekend! This morning we were going to take a walk at a local state park, but when we got there, the park was closed…so that kinda sucked, but oh well. So instead I came home and stamped and made this card for the challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. It is a fun sketch this week. I pulled out some neglected Old Olive cardstock and stamped the arrows from the set Oh, Hello in Basic Gray. I lined them up using my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I then stamped some of the splatters in Versamark from the set Gorgeous Grunge. I added a Bermuda Bay flag and added a speech bubble that was from a prior My Paper Pumpkin kit. I finished off the card by stamping the Oh, Hello from the set Oh Hello in Bermuda Bay. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!

Picture Perfect Cards & Get Well Soon

So…I know, these cards are a little weird, but since my brother moved to Nashville, I try to send him a card every week or two so that he knows we are thinking about him. I know he missed us and especially the pups in our lives so I thought that I card featuring them would bring a smile to his face. I created two cards since the challenge at Crafty Creations this week is “Make Two”! I used the Gorgeous Grunge ink splatters and a My Paper Pumpkin chevron stamp to dress up the background.

I also made a get well soon card for my dad that I wanted to share. The challenge at The Friday Mashup is to use your clear blocks as stamps. I love this technique! So for the card I started out with a base of Old Olive and a layer of Bermuda Bay and on the white cardstock I stamped my clear block that had been inked with Pool Party ink. I added the sentiment from the set Delightful Dozen. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Miss You Already Tag

I made this card for the challenge at Wanna Sketch? This card will be on its way to my brother soon. I used a base of Pool Party and stamped some ink splatters from the set Gorgeous Grunge and also added a layer of some retired DSP. My brother starts “Math Camp” this week which is required for his PhD program so I thought the numbers were fitting. I also stamped the sentiment in Lukcy Limeaid (retired) from the set Really Good Greetings. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Washi Tape and Gorgeous Grunge

I created this super simple card for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I layered some of the Epic Day Washi tape on Lucky Limeaid cardstock (retired) and stamped the ink splatters from the set Gorgeous Grunge in Basic Gray.  In Lucky Limeaid, I stamped On the Grid. I used a Chalk Talk Framelit and the Happy Birthday stamp from the retired set Essentials. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Trendy Trees

I made this card the other day just because. My retired Trendy Trees set has not seen much love lately so I wanted to pull it out. I started with a base of the new In-Color Baked Brown Sugar and layered some retired Lucky Limeaid DSP.  On a Whisper White square, I stamped the tree and the sentiment from the same set in Bermuda Bay. I second Whisper White sqaure and some Bermuda Bay ribbon completed the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Oh Hello Chevron

I found a new challenge the other day and wanted to play along. It is called ABC Challenges and the theme this week was “Anything Goes”. The theme was nice since most of the time I create cards to fit into a certain challenge, so this allowed me to just sit down and create whatever came to mind. I started off with some cheerful colors, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie. I really like how sorta layering the square chevron stamp from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit and the sentiment from the set Oh, Hello turned out. And I just love the new buttons from Stampin’ Up! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday!
