Stampin’ Up! Woo Hoo!

Well we just found out that our friends are expecting an addition to their family so I wanted to create a quick and simple card to mail them. I started with a base of Coastal Cabana and stamped the Chevron background stamp on it. Next, I added a layer of Gumball Green cardstock. For the main panel, I stamped the lion from the set Fox & Friends and added the “Woo Hoo!” word bubble from the set Just Saying =) Very simple, but cute, I hope it brings a smile to their face. Also, this card is for the “Baby” challenge at Addicted to CAS. Perfect!

Stampin’ Up! Teen Birthday

Hope you are having a great weekend! We finally have a bit of warmer weather today so after I get finished with this post, I think I am going to take the dog outside so she can burn off some energy. For the card today, my niece’s birthday is coming up so I wanted to create a card that would be fun and hip. I used the color challenge at Dynamic Duos since it seemed pretty girly to me! I stared out with a base of Crumb Cake, but I really tried to stick to just the two colors, Melon Mambo and Basic Black, but in the end, it just felt like it needed a bit of another neutral (which the design team says is ok =) ). I stamped the Chevron background stamp on the right side of the card in Staz On black ink and added a small strip of Basic Black cardstock. I pulled out the awesome new Just Sayin’ stamp set for the word bubble and stamped it in Melon Mambo. I little bit of bling and a couple candy dots add just enough pop. The challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks is to use bling so this card is perfect for that challenge as well! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Everyday Occasions Kit

I wanted to share a card that my friend made. She recently got the Everyday Occasions Kit and it is so awesome! The kit had bright and fun patters and super cool stamps. She used some elements from the kit and then also used the new stamp set Just’ Saying and the coordinating framelits for the super┬átrendy “love ya” word bubble. The kit is just $29.95 and if you are interested in making some fun cards, please contact me at Thanks!

Stampin’ Up! Miss You Already

Hello! Hope you are having a good weekend so far! We are expected to get anywhere between 6 to 12 inches of snow tomorrow night so I may have a lot of stamping time this weekend! We shall see! Anyway, onto the card for today. My twin brother was home for the holidays so I got to spend a lot of time with him. I had to say good-bye to him last night as he has to head back to Vanderbilt and it was pretty tough. We have definitely become a lot closer since we have gotten older. I decided to capture my feelings with a card that I plan on mailing to him today. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and stamped the “Hello from…” stamp from the Wanderlust Photopolymer stamp set multiple times to create a background. I pulled out my retired Rough Edges Alphabet and stamped “ILLINOIS” in each box. Using the new stamp set Just Saying and the coordinating framelits, I cut out the “Miss you already” word bubble. I kept this card really simple since it is for a guy and all. There is something about this card that I just really like even though it is so simple, maybe it is the feelings behind it. Why don’t you send a card to someone that you may have been missing or just to say hello. Okay, enough sappiness! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Stampin’ Up! Just Saying

I have been trying to create more manly cards lately because it always seems like I never have enough. I started out with the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments. I chose a base layer of Coastal Cabana and stamped the retired Crosshatch Background stamp on it in the same color. Next, I added a piece of Gumball Green that was embossed with the the Honeycomb embossing folder. The word bubble is from the new set Just Saying that will be available January 3. I Basic Gray banner underneath the word bubble and a glimmer brad tied the card together. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Just Saying!

Almost to the weekend! I made a quick card last night for the birthday challenge at Seize the Birthday. I started out with some Gumball Green Coordinations card stock and embossed it with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I then lightly sanded the raised honeycombs. Next, I punched out a Coastal Cabana circle and stamped the ink splatter from the set Gorgeous Grunge. Next, I stamped the word bubble from the upcoming Occasions catalog in Basic Gray and punched it out using the coordinating framelit. Finally, I added a retired banner from a Simply Scrappin’ kit and a metal brad. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin Up! Hey There!

Hey There!

Sneak Peek alert! See that cute word bubble! It is in the upcoming Occasions catalog and you can order it in just a couple weeks! I pulled out some retired Summer Starfruit DSP and layered it on some Crumb Cake. I added a piece of burlap ribbon for a bit of texture. The super cute arrow is another sneak peek from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration catalog. A few Basic Gray Candy Dots finished off the card. The layout was inspired by the sketch challenge at Sweet Sunday. Thanks for stopping by!
