Hello and happy Monday (that is like an oxymoron). A couple weeks ago Stampin’ Up! announced that they are having a new catalog launch even for demostrators! I had decided that if there was launch party close to me, that I would attend because I have never been to a Stampin’ Up! event before! It is really a neat idea because everyone gathers at these movie theaters across the United States and Canada and via streaming, we all get to go through the catalog and see all of the new and exciting products!
A couple people attending said that they would be making swaps so I decided to make some swaps to. My first ever swap! I picked a card that I had made recently that would be easy to mass produce and included a lot of my favorite products…Crumb Cake cardstock, Mosaic Madness, the sentiment font from set Lovely & Lacy (love that font!!!).
I even made a label for the back with my blog address and made the font colors coordinate with the colors used on the front. Be sure to check out my post on Stampin’ Up! RGB codes to see how I did that. To add a bit of extra fun to the label, I stamped the little flower from the set Summer Silhouettes in Summer Starfruit. Oh, and a big thanks to my cousin for helping me out in a pinch and giving me some labels =) If you are into fonts like I am, the two fonts I used below are Honey Script and Throw My Hands Up In The Air. I love finding fun fonts to make any project extra special.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hello and Happy Friday!!!!
I wanted to share with you another card we made at our monthly Stampin’ Night. This was a pretty simple card that featured several punches. I used some of the Sale-A-Bration DSP from this year and punched out several hexagons with the Hexagon punch and lined them up on the card to create a small background. Tip: Punch all the hexagons in the same direction so that your pattern lines up, if you want it to of course! Next I wrapped some Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the card and added a retired Summer Starfruit button. I used the sentiment from the set Lacy & Lovely and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch and popped it up on some dimensionals. Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy your day!!!
It feels like it has been a while since I have made a card and it felt good to make a quick card tonight. While it’s not stellar, it is something =) I liked the sketch at Create With Connie and Mary so I used that as my starting point. I used Crumb Cake as my base and then stamped the stamps from Lacy & Lovely in Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Crumb Cake. I sponged the layer and spritzed it with it Crumb Cake ink. A little twine and a button complete the card! Thanks for stopping by!
I have not participated in a challenge at The Paper Craft Crew in a while, but this sketch pulled me in. I started with a base of Smoky Slate and like I realized a couple posts ago, it looks great paired with pastels. I added a Tea Doily and stamped the flowers from the set Summer Silhouettes. Behind that layer, I added some Coastal Cabana ribbon for a bit of dimension. On the Decorative Label punch, I stamped the Thank You from the set Lacy & Lovely. I added a retired Perfect Plum button and a couple of rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you had a great weekend! Today I made a card for the challenge at Stampin’ Celebration. I started out with a base of Basic Gray. I really love the stamp from the set Madison Avenue. It makes it so easy to create patters. I stamped that three times in Basic Gray. Next I punched out a couple small flowers using the Punch Pack from Summer Starfruit, Smoky Slate and Pool Party and added a rhinestone to the center of each one. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the set Lacy & Lovely. Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you are having a great weekend! I created this card using the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I started with a base of Soft Suede and added a piece of retired Spice Cake DSP. I added Pool Party flag that I stamped with the the retired Canvas background stamp. Next, stamped the “Thank You” from the set Lovely & Lacy on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out using the Decorative Label punch. I added a retired button tied with some Linen Thread. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!
Hello and Happy 4th of July! Hope you have a great holiday! A day off work means some time to get crafty in my stamp room so I have several projects to show you that I wanted to submit before the deadlines end.
The first is for the challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges. The theme this week is hexagons and after just receiving my new hexagon items from Stampin’ Up! I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I punched out several hexagons using the new Stampin’ Up! hexagon punch from some retired Old Olive textured card stock. I arranged those on a layer of Coastal Cabana. I pulled out the awesome sentiment from last month’s Paper Pumpkin kit and added a new Old Olive Candy Dot.
The next card I made was based on the sketch from Retro Sketches. I started out with a base of Basic Gray and added a layer embossed with the Mosiac embossing folder. I still had some Orchid Opulence cardstock laying on my desk from a previous color challenge seen HERE so I layered the main Whisper White panel on that. I pulled out the medallion stamp from the set Lacy & Lovely and stamped it three times and punched out two layers and popped it up with some dimensionals. I used the same sentiment as the above card. I really do love that sentiment =)
Ok, finally the last project for today. Today is actually my mom’s birthday so I decorated a kraft gift box from Stampin’ Up! to put a gift card in. I can remember from when I was younger that she never wanted anything red, white or blue for her birthday, so I pulled out some retired Sent With Love DSP that focuses on Pool Party and Calypso Coral. I punched out some scallops and spritz then with water to crumple them up to make a flower. I added a retired white button tied with some Calypso Coral Bakers Twine. I finally I created a little tag using the new Chalk Talk Framelits. The sentiment comes from the set Made For You. The challenge at Stampin’ Royalty is Anything Goes so I will be submitting this cute little box over there. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great holiday!
Hi and Happy Friday!
I created today’s card for the sketch challenge at Nacho Average Challenge. It is a fun one with many possibilities. I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Lacy & Lovely and started to use one of the medallion stamps, but it was just too big for the card so I switched to the flower stamp. I stamped the flowers in Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana (a new In Color!) and Sahara Sand on a layer of Sahara Sand. I backed that layer with a layer of Memon Mambo and a base of Sahara Sand. On a strip of Coastal Cabana cardstock, I stamped the thank you from the set Delightful Dozen. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Friday!
Today I have a card to share with you. I wanted to keep this card simple. The color challenge at CAS – Colours and Sketches Blog was my starting point for this card. I started with a base of Sahara Sand, then a layer of Whisper White and finally a layer of Summer Starfruit that I embossed with the Sale-A-Bration Vine Street Embossing Folder. I used the Hello stamp from the set Lacy & Lovely and created a flower by using the retired 5-Petal Flower Punch and the current Boho Blossoms Punch. A Tangerine Tango button and ribbon from Sale-A-Bration finished off the card. Thanks for looking!
Since we had a ton of snow yesterday, I figured it would be a perfect night to stamp away. I made four cards and will share them with you this week. This card I made for the sketch challenge over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp. I started with a base of Summer Starfruit and added three Crumb Cake flags that I embossed with the AWESOME honeycomb embossing folder. Love it! Next I added a layer of Very Vanilla which I stamped the doily on from the set Lacy & Lovely. I backed this layer with a piece of Basic Gray. I added a Gray Glimmer brad for a little subtle pop and a rub-on from the retired pack of Chit Chat Rub-Ons. Forgot I had these and them remembered how much I love them =) I really like how this card turned out, a little geometric and a little funky. Thanks for stopping by!
