Stampin’ Up! Map It Out

Hi Everyone!

I was finally able to stamp a bit last night! Woo hoo! It had been about two weeks since that I last stamped since we were out of town last week. We were visiting family in Virginia and I wanted to make a card and say thank you for all they did for us. I thought that the Map It Out stamp would be perfect! This stamp set was originally released a while ago and while it is not in the current catalog, it is still available! This set is great for traveling or a quick hello to a far away friend. Lets check out the card! I started with a base of Kraft cardstock and cut a piece of Coastal Cabana, Gumball Green (retired) and Whisper White cardstock all the same sizes. I stamped the map and the cute little X’s on the white layer. See that cute “thanks” at the bottom? That is from a new set that will be released soon! It has so many amazing greetings in it and the font is super cute! The stamp set “give thanks”, but I used the markers to color just the “thanks”.

Stampin’ Up! Map It Out

So the challenge at CAS-ual Friday’s is a good one. It is called “So Long” and you are supposed to create a farewell card that is a long card (not a standard card size).  I created this card for my brother since he lives in Nashville and …I miss him. I used the new photopolymer stamp set called Map It Out and added two hearts near St. Louis and Nashville. I also used Gumball Green as my base and some retired Pool Party DSP. I metal button and some Baker’s Twine completed the card. Thanks so much for stopping by!
