My cousin’s birthday was this weekend so I used the challenge at Seize the Birthday to create a card for her. The challenge was to create a birthday card and use numbers so I pulled out the Memorable Moments stamp set. I used the colors Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo. The happy birthday stamp is from the set Made For You and I added a small Baker’s Twine bow. Thanks for stopping by!
I hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend! I must admit, I have been in a stampin’ rut the past couple of days. I keep coming back to my stamp room and sitting down and trying to create…but it just was not working. So today I really wanted to make something! I started out with a small card to keep it simple and used the picture inspiration from the “JUGS” challenge. I thought an anniversary card would go with the cake theme and I also pulled the gray and yellow colors from the picture. The DSP is the retired Sycamore Street and the happy anniversary stamps comes from the set Memorable Moments. I added a couple rhinestones to give it a bit of bling. All in all, not terrible LOL. Thanks for stopping by!
I will be needing some anniversary cards in the near future so I thought the challenge at Techno Stamper this week was perfect. I started with a base of Basic Gray and added some Melon Mambo DSP. I backed that on a piece of Basic Gray that was punched with the scallop edge punch. I wanted a bit of a pop, so I punched out a scallop in the Silver Glimmer Paper and added a white circle on top. Using the awesome Hearts A Flutter Framlelits, I punched out two hearts in Melon Mambo and Basic Gray and added a small rhinestone. The sentiment comes from the set Memorable Moments. Since the card has a scallop punch and a scallop border, it also fits in with the challenge at Less Is More this week. Thanks for stopping by!
So I wanted to play along at Fab Friday this week and I wanted to challenge myself because it is an interesting color combination. One that I would typically not use on my own. I started out with a base of Sahara Sand and layered a piece of Calypso Coral and some awesome Calypso Coral crosshatch DSP from the Sent with Love pack. I then added a strip of Lucky Limeaid and a couple circles of Sahara Sand underneath that. I then stamped the outline, from the set Memorable Moments, on the Labels Collection framelit. The Thinking of You is from one of my favorite go-to sets called Sincere Salutations. Of course, I ran into the problem that I always have with a color challenge that has pastel pink in it…I don’t have any pastel pink things! Luckily, I had a button, I think the card might have looked a bit better if I could have incorporated more pink into it. Oh…I almost forgot to mention, this awesome sketch is from Deconstructed Sketches! Thanks for stopping by!
This month my parents celebrate their 31st wedding anniversary. I made this card based on a past color combination over at ColorQ. This challenge was before I created my blog, but I saw that combination and knew I had to use it for inspiration even though the challenge was closed. The sketch for this card came from Pals Paper Arts. I used Lucky Limeaid as my base and added a bit of gray Designer Series Paper and then pulled out my retired stash of Bermuda Bay cardstock. Bermuda Bay is one of those past In Colors that I really wish would have stuck around and not been retired. Oh well at lease I have Pool Party now =). I love the crisp font of the numbers from the set Memorable Moments. I finished the card off with a couple glimmer brads and called it “done”! Thanks for looking!
I saw a sketch today and I immediately knew I wanted to play. I designed this card for The Paper Players Challenge #115. I just love the the tic-tac-toe options. I decided to do Buttons, Anniversary and Gray & Yellow, which just happens to be a color combination I am in love with. I created a rosette with some retired Designer Series Paper and used the Happy Anniversary stamps for the set Memorable Moments. Thanks for stopping by!
