Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch Background

I love the color combination at Color Q this week so I wanted to give it a try. I felt like it called for a sorta funky stamp so I pulled out the stamp from the set Mixed Bunch and stamped it several times to create a background. Can’t get more simple than that! I layered that on a piece of Calypso Coral and then a base of Smoky Slate since I did not  have any Going Gray cardstock. A simple sentiment from the retired set Essentials finishes off the card. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch

Hope you are having a good start to your weekend. We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland! We got about 4 inches of snow here which is a lot of us. I saw the color challenge for Color Throwdown and it is really beautiful. I have to substitute Pool Party for Baja Breeze since I just sold all of my old ink pads. I stamped the flower from the set Mixed Bunch in Pool Party and added a banner of Orchid Opulence. I stamped the Hello from the set Four You in Basic Gray and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. I small retired Certainly Celery button tied with some Baker’s Twine finished off this card. This challenge really helped me realize the potential of Smoky Slate. I kept trying to pair it with bright colors and was just finding that I didn’t like how it would turn out so I sorta put Smoky Slate on the back burner for while. I really fell in love with pairing it with more lighter pastel colors in this challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch

Wow, there are a lot of great challenges out there this week. I really hope I get time to play along with all the ones I liked. Over at the Pals Paper Arts, they have an awesome color combination, Melon Mambo, Basic Gray & Basic Black. I pulled out my Mixed Bunch stamp set and stamped the flowers in Basic Gray. The sentiment comes from the set Apple Blossoms. I added a bit of retired satin ribbon to finish off the card. Thanks for stopping by!

In Color Flowers

Hi Everyone!

So after debating with myself for quite awhile, I have decided to create a blog to share what I love to do in my free time. For my first post, I have one of my favorite color combinations. I absolutely love the In Colors Pool Party and Lucky Limeaid. I love how they compliment one another and can create a great color combination when paired with another color. I used my favorite flower stamp from the set Mixed Bunch. Thanks for stopping by!
