Hello and happy Friday!
I am so glad that the weekend is almost here! I am looking forward to this three day weekend! I did a little bit of stampin’ last night I made this card for the following challenges: CASology, The Paper Players, and Simply Less Is More. I have not participated in a challenge in a while so it felt good to do so. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and spritzed it with Basic Gray ink. Next, I stamped the flower from the set Raining Flowers and added the sentiment which was from a previous Paper Pumpkin Kit. I tucked a bit of Crushed Curry behind the main layer and then added some Epic Day Washi Tape.
I have also finished updating my other blog with our pictures from our Ohio hiking vacation. Here is a sneak peak of a couple. Be sure to check out my blog HERE to see more!
I have a cute project to show you today. My cousin is having a baby shower this weekend and I was tasked to make some cute decorations for the cupcakes. You may remember the invitation we created for her that I posted a while back. You can see it here. He colors are green and navy and of course chevron! I made three styles of toppers. One Has a Night of Navy background with an owl from the retired set Fox & Friends. The second topper has a Lucky Limeaid (retired) background and the middle stamped with a chevron stamp that I got from a My Paper Pumpkin kit. The Sweet Baby banners if from the set Itty Bitty Banners and of course I used the coordinating framelits to cut it out! Super easy! Finally, the last one has a Whisper White background and it was stamped with the same chevron stamp. I cut out a “D” with an e-cutter and attached it to a Lucky Limeaid circle. The punch that I used is from the Christmas catalog which I love. I was originally going to use a scallop, but chose this one instead since it is a bit more masculine. I also have to make a banner for the shower so check back in later this week for pictures! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Well it has been a little while since I last posted. Work has been a bit crazy with tax season and when I get home, I just can’t seem to get in the crafty mood. But tonight I was determined to make a card, so I stayed in my comfort zone with a clean and simple card with Crumb Cake cardstock. I used one of my favorite stamp sets Mosaic Madness a created a bit of a background. Next, I cut out the shape with the Labels Framelits and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. The sentiment is from a previous My Paper Pumpkin kit and is stamped in Bermuda Bay. I have been choosing Coastal Cabana a lot lately over Bermuda Bay, so I dusted that color off and gave it some love. A summer starfruit banner stamped with the Dictionary background stamp is tucked behind the main image. A small bow of Linen Thread adds an accent to the top while a small Pearl balances it out. Side note: This is my first time every using a Pearl on a card (I just recently ordered them) and I love them! I can’t believe I went so long with out using these! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Quick post tonight! I created this card for the sketch challenge at Seize the Sketch. I started out with a base of Basic Gray and added a layer of Crumb Cake. Next, I pulled out some DSP from a My Paper Pumpkin kit. I added a Pool Party flag and a Bermuda Bay button for a bit of pop. I stamped the Hello To You in Basic Gray which also came from a My Paper Pumpkin kit. A bit of Whisper White Baker’s Twine finished off the card. Thanks for stopping by!
I created this super simple card for the challenge at The Friday Mashup. The colors for the challenge were Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana. My inspiration for this card came from Mary Fish’s blog. She is such a talented demonstrator. I had an anniversary card in mind so I used my small heart stamp from a My Paper Pumpkin Kit and the punched those out using the 3/4″ circle punch. I kept the card pretty simple by just adding a retired whisper white Rub-On. Thanks for stopping by!
Thank gosh it’s the weekend! I got some time to sit down and stamp so I created this card for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I started out with a Basic Gray card and then layered several scalloped strips of Summer Starfruit. I then added a layer of retired Basic Gray DSP and tied some Pool Party Seam Binding around the card. I cute little flag with the small heart stamp from this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit peeks out. Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
I have kinda lost my creativity this week, but was able to make this card tonight. I needed a bit of inspiration to get me going so I turned to the sketch at Sunday Sketch and Stamp and inspiration from the Muse blog. Several things inspired me from the Muse card:
- The colors, Pool Party, Lucky Limeaid and Early Espresso
- The polka dots so I used some polka dot DSP to make my lollie
- Pool Party Baker’s Twine
- Script-y sorta font so I chose the new stamp “Hey There Friend” from Stampin’ Up! March Paper Pumpkin kit
Thanks for stopping by!
Late post tonight, but wanted to squeeze this entry in over at the Paper Players. I started out with a base of Early Espresso and added some Pool Party DSP. For the next layer, I added a Crumb Cake tag from the Pop Up Posie kit and also created a Pool Party Posie and added an Antique Brad to the center. I little flag with another brad finishes off the card. This card also fit the challenge at Sweet Stampin’ for lots of layers!
Well it is a rainy and dreary day so what better to do than stamp! I found a great sketch at Retro Sketches to start off my card. For my colors, I was inspired by the front cover of the latest Stampin’ Success magazine that demonstrators received, see below. I started off with a base of Sahara Sand and them embossed a piece of Pool Party with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. Next I paper pierced a scrap of Summer Starfruit. I added a bit of Pool Party Baker’s Twine and then stamped the Just for You sentiment from the Pop Up Posies Kit in Melon Mambo. Thanks for stopping by!
