We are back with the Creation Station Blog Hop! This go around is the theme PARTY TIME! I created a couple projects this hop and can’t wait to show them to you!
The first card features one of my new favorite techniques…fiber paste! You can see my original post here on it. I used the polka dot mask from Stampin’ Up! and created a background with some texture by using fiber paste. I love the look of this! Next, I added a large circle with the stamp from the retired set Oh, Hello stamped in Melon Mambo. Next up, was a Hello Honey banner with a light chevron stamp on it and finally a piece of Smoky Slate Chevron ribbon.
For my next project, I created a goodie bag using the Chevron bags in the catalog. I started with a banner in some retired Gumball Green cardstock and added some washi tape to the top. I couple glimmer brads and the stamp from the set Perfect Pennants makes a cute gift bag that is perfect for any party!
Be sure to hop forward for Jennifery Downey or back to Jennifer Frost!
I have a card featuring some retiring products. I used the flower from the set Oh, Hello and stamped it in Summer Starfruit. I also ran a piece of Primrose Petals cardstock through the Big Shot with a retired embossing folder. The sentiment comes from the set Four You and the whole card is backed on a base of Crumb Cake. Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hello and it is sure a beautiful day today! And even better, it is the last Saturday of tax season!! Woo hoo! So hopefully I will have a bit more time to stamp coming up. My friend and I stamped last night and I created this Mother’s Day card for my mom. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and stamped the Dictionary background stamp on it. I pulled out some retired DSP and ribbon. I colored the flower stamp with my markers in Melon Mambo and Old Olive and the flower is from the set Oh, Hello. The sentiment is from the retired set Word Play. A couple accents like button tied with Linen Thread and a small Pearl add a bit of dimension to the card. Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you are having a great weekend! This morning we were going to take a walk at a local state park, but when we got there, the park was closed…so that kinda sucked, but oh well. So instead I came home and stamped and made this card for the challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. It is a fun sketch this week. I pulled out some neglected Old Olive cardstock and stamped the arrows from the set Oh, Hello in Basic Gray. I lined them up using my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I then stamped some of the splatters in Versamark from the set Gorgeous Grunge. I added a Bermuda Bay flag and added a speech bubble that was from a prior My Paper Pumpkin kit. I finished off the card by stamping the Oh, Hello from the set Oh Hello in Bermuda Bay. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!
As the title implies, I have been in a stampin’ rut lately. I sit down and try to create and nothing comes together. I did see the sketch at Sketch Frenzy Friday and decided to give it a try. While not my best work, it was nice to actually finish a card. I layered some Summer Starfruit on Coastal Cabana and stamped the arrows from the set Oh, Hello. I pulled out the For You Flower stamp and punched it out to create some layers.
I found a new challenge the other day and wanted to play along. It is called ABC Challenges and the theme this week was “Anything Goes”. The theme was nice since most of the time I create cards to fit into a certain challenge, so this allowed me to just sit down and create whatever came to mind. I started off with some cheerful colors, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie. I really like how sorta layering the square chevron stamp from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit and the sentiment from the set Oh, Hello turned out. And I just love the new buttons from Stampin’ Up! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday!
So when I saw the sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday, it just screamed washi tape to me! And I love any challenge that I can use my new Epic Day Washi Tape on. I layered some washi tape on a layer of Pool Party cardstock and then embossed a layer of Whisper White with the honeycomb embossing folder to mirror the hexagons on the washi tape. Using my oval framelits, I cut out a Crumb Cake oval and stamped the sentiment from the set Oh, Hello. I added a Basic Gray button tied with some Baker’s Twine. Thanks for stopping by!
I made a card last night for the awesome sketch challenge at Fab Friday. I started out with a base of Lucky Limeaid (retired) and stamped the ink splatters (from my Paper Pumpkin) in Versamark. Next, I embossed a layer of Coastal Cabana, which is a new In-Color!, with the Chevron Embossing Folder. I stamped the Oh, Hello in Basic Gray on a piece of Whisper White that I punched out with the 2.5 inch circle punch and added an arrow clip. Next, I added a Smoky Slate flag that I sponged with Basic Gray ink. I have a box of the items that I get in the Paper Pumpkin kits open in front of me and I saw the Daffodil Delight flags in there so I added one at the last minute. I added the “Paper Pumpkin Elements” to the title of this post because I realized I used a couple things from the monthly kits: ink splatter stamp, arrow clip and the Daffodil Delight flag.
Also, I had to share…while we were out of town over the weekend, my cousin stopped by to grab some of her stampin’ stuff that I was borrowing. She left me a little note which totally made by day!
Happy Stamping to you!
Hope you are having a great Sunday and a Happy Mother’s Day! I created a quick card that I wanted to share with you. The theme for the card was based on the challenge at Stampin’ Royalty. I started out with a base of Smoky Slate and added a layer of white and a layer of Pool Party. I rubbed my ink pad against the Pool Party cardstock to give it a bit of dimension. I embossed a piece of Smoky Slate with the Honeycomb embossing folder and layered that on the card. I created a simple tag and stamped the flower image from the set Oh, Hello in Lucky Limeaid and Pool Party and stamped the sentiment from Delightful Dozen in Basic Gray. I tied a messy know with some Baker’s Twine.
The items from the above inspiration photo that I focused on were the blue color and the green in the top left picture. Also, I loved the gray in the bottom right picture and incorporated that into my card. Thanks for stopping by!
Tonight, the creativity was flowing and I made three cards! I will share one with you tonight. I used the color challenge from Create With Connie and Mary. I stamped the mosaic pattern using my Stamp-a-ma-jig in Pool Party. I created a couple flags from some Basic Gray and Calypso Coral cardstock. I added an In Color brad. I stamped the Oh, Hello in Basic Gray from the set Oh, Hello! Thanks for stopping by!
