Stampin’ Up! Really Good Greetings

Hello!

I love the challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays. It is to use a word that sums up what you hope for the new year, kinda like a resolution. I knew exactly which stamp I wanted to use. Says “Live the life you’ve imagined” and it comes from the set Really Good Greetings. The saying just describes my goals for the new year, I want to get out and enjoy life more. I think that we are starting out good because we have a couple great camping trips planned. By anyway, onto the card. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake with a Melon Mambo border. I added a small Coastal Cabana flag that was stamped with the dots stamp from the set Perfect Pennants. A couple candy dots and a rhinestone completed the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Really Good Greetings

Hello!

The sketch at the Paper Craft Crew is a great one this week. I started with a base of Sahara Sand. This color is a great neutral to use for a background because it really allows the other colors in the card to shine. I wanted to choose a very colorful DSP so I pulled out some retired DSP, Sycamore Street, from last year’s Sale-A-Bration.  A Tangerine Tango ribbon adds a bit of dimension to the card. The sentiment comes from the set Really Good Greetings. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Doilies

Hello!

Two posts it two days, I am on a roll! But anyway, tonight I created a card for the sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday. It is a great sketch with some great flags. I started out with a base of Pool Party and lightly sponged some Pool Party ink onto the Chevron background stamp. Next, I added a couple flags from some Silver Glimmer Paper and Smoky Slate cardstock. Next, I added a doily. When I saw the doilies in the catalog, I thought that they were something I would never use and then I started seeing lots of cards using them and I was sold. I really like how it creates a bit of softness on a card. For the tag, I used a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the set Really Good Greetings in Basic Gray. I altered the sketch just a bit by turning the small banner made from some retired DSP. I tied the tag with some Linen Thread and added a couple Candy Dots. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Color Burst

Hello!

As a demonstrator, every other month we get a magazine in the mail from Stampin’ Up! It has tips and tutorials and a lot of great inspiration. I decided to give the one I call a color burst a try for the Anything Goes challenge at Stampin’ Royalty. It is their 200th challenge so play along! I created a mask of the burst and using my retired colored spritzer, spritz the colors Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie onto the card. I then removed the mask and added the tag using the stamp set Really Good Greetings and the Chalk Talk Framelits. I added a couple Candy Dots. This card came together pretty quick and easy. I thought it would a be good inspirational card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Epic Day DSP

Hello!

Hope you are having a good weekend! I used the sketch challenge at the Pals Paper Arts to start this card off. I love the Epic Day DSP. I can’t believe it took me so long to get it. I paired the DSP with a layer of Basic Gray and a Base of Crumb Cake.  I added a flag stamped with the phrase “Live the Life You’ve Imagined”. It kinda goes with the DSP since it has the works Courage, Inspire, etc on it. A retired metal button finished off the card. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Miss You Already Tag

Hello!

I made this card for the challenge at Wanna Sketch? This card will be on its way to my brother soon. I used a base of Pool Party and stamped some ink splatters from the set Gorgeous Grunge and also added a layer of some retired DSP. My brother starts “Math Camp” this week which is required for his PhD program so I thought the numbers were fitting. I also stamped the sentiment in Lukcy Limeaid (retired) from the set Really Good Greetings. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! In the Spotlight

Hello!

Happy Friday! Another card for today! I had not played along with the challenge at Seize the Birthday in a while and I thought it was about time. I was going through some old sets and found the set In the Spotlight which was a hostess set back in the day and the medallion image caught my eye. So I stamped that in Bermuda Bay on a base of the same color. Next, I cut out some circles from Crushed Curry and Whisper White and layered them. I stamped the sentiment from the new set Really Good Greetings in Bermuda Bay and added a couple Melon Mambo flags. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Live the Life You’ve Imagined

Hello!

I found a new card challenge the other day. It is called Crazy for CAS and it looks pretty cool! This weeks challenge was to use washi tape and it was a great reason to pull out my newly acquired Epic Day Washi tape that I loooove! I also hope that you love the new Gorgeous Grunge set as much as I do because I can’t stop using it on my cards! I am addicted! So for the card, I started out by stamping some of the Gorgeous Grunge ink splatters on Crumb Cake cardstock in the same color ink. I layered a couple strips of the Epic Day Washi Tape and pulled out a sticker from the Epic Day stickers. I stamped the sentiment, Live the Life You’ve Imagined, ink black Stazon. I added a Pool Party flag to tie into the lines on the sticker and used a staple to attach it to the card, keeping with the grunge look. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Stampin’ Up! Really Good Greetings

Hello!

Hope you are having a good weekend! I created this super simple card in just a couple of minutes based on the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.I started out with a base of Bermuda Bay and added a strip of Calypso Coral retired DSP. I really wanted the sentiment to stand out on the card so I stamped it in Basic Gray and left it pretty simple. I backed that on a piece of Basic Gray and added a Bermuda Bay flag. I added a button tied with some Baker’s Twine. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! New Stamp Sets

Hello!

Can you believe it?! I used three new stamp sets on this card! I found my inspiration from the challenge at Case Study and my color combination from Stampin’ Royalty. I started with a base of Pool Party and used the new set Gorgeous Grunge to stamp some ink splatters in Pool Party ink. Next, I created a Pumpkin Pie flag and embossed the greeting from the set Really Good Greetings in white. Next, I stamped the hexagon in Summer Starfruit from the set Six Sided Sampler and layered it on a piece of Summer Starfruit cardstock. I added a retired Pool Party button and tied it with some Whisper White Baker’s Twine. See that little brad looking thing next to the hexagon? Those are Stampin’ Up!’s new Candy Dots and they are fabulous! They even come in every color! I really didn’t think that I would like the Pumpkin Pie paired with the Pool Party, but I actually like how this card came together. Thanks for stopping by!
