So today I wanted to share my Christmas card this year. Every year I really enjoy designing my Christmas card and making them. In total, I make about 50, which is not too overwhelming. This year, I chose my favorite Kraft cardstock base and then embossed a piece of luscious Blackberry Bliss with the Mosaic Embossing Folder. I added a champagne glitter paper star (even thought it doesn’t look champagne in the picture!). Finally, the sentiment is from the set Good Greetings.
I also wanted to share a Christmas card that my friend make. She used a Crumb Cake card base and some DSP from the Holiday Catalog. To keep this card quick and easy, she used the Banner Framelit to make cutting the banners a snap. A bit of Baker’s Twine and a Glimmer star bring the card all together. I think she did an amazing job! It is so nice to get hand made Christmas cards!
I am back for Round 3 of the Creation Station! This time around we were asked to use the Something for Baby stamp set. I don’t have this set yet, but the oh so very nice Jen Arkfield stamped and diecut some images for me to use! My first project, I created a simple card. I like to make non standard card bases sometimes to change things up. This card measures 7″ x 3.5″. I added some Daffodil Delight DSP and then a Melon Mambo large scallop. The cute ducky from the Something for Baby set creates a focal image. The sentiment is from the set Sweet Essentials.
Next up, I created a super simple tag. I plan on attaching this to a gift bag.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to hop along to all the rest of the blogs!
My cousins baby shower is today so I added a few elements to the gift bag to dress it up a bit. I love making the gift a bit more personalized. I started with a plain kraft bag and then tied some retired Old Olive ribbon around the handled. Next, I created a tag using the super easy Tag Topper Punch and tied some Coastal Cabana thick Baker’s Twine through the tie. To create the focal image, I used the owl from the retired set Fox & Friends and then added a banner from the set Sweet Essentials. A bit of ruffled Coastal Cabana ribbon a couple hearts complete the tag!
I also made a coordinating card to go with the gift. I started with a base of Coastal Cabana and used the Scallop Edge die to create a fun edge. I layered some retired DSP behind the front. Using the same elements as the gift bag, I created the card front. Hope you have a wonderful day! Looks like it should be nice here today which is great after a long rainy week!
My friend has a birthday coming up and I wanted to create an extra special card. I started with a base of Coastal Cabana and stamped the Dictionary background stamp on it. I added a Tea Lace Doily to anchor the flower and sentiment. I created a Summer Starfruit flower by punching out some scallop punches and crumpling them up a bit. A small metal button finishes off the center of the flower. I used the stamp set Sweet Essentials for the sentiment and added a bit of ruffled ribbon underneath the banner. After making this card, I realized that I used a lot of my favorite things on this card =). This card it also for the Anything goes challenge at Seize the Birthday! Thanks for stopping by!
It feels like it has been a while since I have made a card and it felt good to make a quick card tonight. While it’s not stellar, it is something =) I liked the sketch at Create With Connie and Mary so I used that as my starting point. I used Crumb Cake as my base and then stamped the stamps from Lacy & Lovely in Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Crumb Cake. I sponged the layer and spritzed it with it Crumb Cake ink. A little twine and a button complete the card! Thanks for stopping by!
I love clean and simple sketch challenges so I loved the one at Fab Friday this week. My cousin just bought a house so I thought I would send her a congratulations card. I started out with a base of Pool Party and stamped the Dictionary background stamp to give it just a hint of texture. Next, I pulled out the Regarding Dahlia flower stamp and stamped it in Calypso Coral and added a flag with the congratulations from the set Sweet Essentials. I backed all of that on a piece of retired Lucky Limeaid cardstock. Half of a tea lace doily peeks out the bottom with some Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine.
Try out the same color combination and let me know what you think!

I wanted to play along with the challenge at Less Is More since I hardly ever have baby cards on hand. I also thought the color challenge at Stampin’ Royalty was perfect for a gender neutral card. I used the set Simply Stars and stamped them in Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, Sahara Sand and Lucky Limeaid (substituted for Pear Pizazz). I stamped the sentiment from the set Sweet Essentials on a simple flag. A small candy dot adds a little pop. Thanks for stopping by!
My cousin came over to stamp last night and I had such a great time! It is always so enjoyable when you can share your love for stamping with someone. We created a bunch of cards and I wanted to share one. We created a gender neutral so we used Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Summer Starfruit. We stamped the owl from the set Fox and Friends and paired it with the Hello, Baby from the set Sweet Essentials. Next we stamped the banners from the set Hearts A Flutter and used the coordinating framelits to cut them out. The background seemed like it needed something so we stamped the Dictionary stamp in Pool Party. Thanks for stopping by!
2 cards today!! The first one is for the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I started with a base of Soft Suede and added layers of Very Vanilla and Pool Party. Next, I created a twine lollie. I first punched out a large circle and then put adhesive all over it. I then wound the twine around the circle. I added a couple banners from some retired DSP and then also created a banner for the sentiment. The sentiment comes from the set Sweet Essentials and was stamped in the soon to be retired color More Mustard.
Ok, one more card and I have to say, I am not in love with this card. But ok, whatever =) I created this card for the sketch at CAS on Sunday. I started with a base of Smoky Slate and added a panel of Melon Mambo that was embossed with the Chevron embossing folder. I added a flag of the Silver Glimmer Paper. I stamped the “So Worth The Wait” in Basic Gray and added a bit of White Baker’s Twine. Thanks for stopping by!
After a long day of lunch with a great friend and shopping with another great friend, I was able to get back into my craft room and make another card. Earlier in the week, I saw the sketch challenge at Nacho Average Challenge and for some reason, creating a hemp twine “lollie” popped into my head. So put a lunch of Sticky Strip on a piece if cardstock and began winding the twine into a circle. I then put Modge Podge on the top of the lollie to keep it all together and let it dry. Once it was dry, I pulled the cardstock back of the twine and that became the front of my lollie. I pulled out some Soft Suede cardstock and some retired Spice Cake DSP. I added a Pool Party button with some twine to the lollie. It is not part of the sketch, but I added a flag because I needed a place for a sentiment and the card also looked a bit bare.
