Stampin’ Up! Use Trees for 4 Crafty Chicks!

Hello!

Once again, I am proud to be back with another card as a Guest Designer for 4 Crafty Chicks. The challenge this week was to use trees, so I pulled out my favorite tree set, Trendy Trees. I wanted to make this card a bit more masculine since I think I will send it to my brother. I started out with a base of Basic Gray and added a layer of Old Olive that was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I cut a small Pool Party flag and let it peek out from behind the Whisper White layer. The stamps all come from the set Trendy Trees. Thank you so much for stopping by and be sure to play along with the challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks this week!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Sorbet DSP

Hello!

I love the sketch at Retro Sketches this week! It is fun and funky! I started out with a base of Crumb Cake (because I am all out of Sahara Sand =( ) and I added a layer of the new Sweet Sorbet DSP from Sale-A-Bration. Next, came a small black circle layered underneath a banner stamped with the a sentiment from the set Trendy Trees. A small white button finishes off the card! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Trendy Trees

Hello!

I made this card the other day just because. My retired Trendy Trees set has not seen much love lately so I wanted to pull it out. I started with a base of the new In-Color Baked Brown Sugar and layered some retired Lucky Limeaid DSP.  On a Whisper White square, I stamped the tree and the sentiment from the same set in Bermuda Bay. I second Whisper White sqaure and some Bermuda Bay ribbon completed the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Super Clean & Simple

Hello!

I have a super clean and simple card to share with you today. I almost did not share it because it was too simple. My idea was to create a clean card to send to my brother. I do like how the Real Red pops off the Smoky Slate. The sentiment comes from the set Trendy Trees and the square chevron is from June’s My Paper Pumpkin kit. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! World Treasures

Hello!

I had this awesome idea in my head for creating this pattern with the diamond-like stamp from the set World Treasures, but it did not quite turn out how I had wanted. Oh well! I used the colors from the color challenge at Sunday Stamps, Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight (substituted for So Saffron). I backed the pattern on a piece of Calypso Coral and on a base of Rich Razzleberry and stamped the sentiment from the set Trendy Trees in White Craft ink. I added some Baker’s Twine and a button to complete the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Blossom Party Die

Hi There!

Today I have a card to share that I created for the sketch at Sketch Frenzy Friday. For my flower focal point, I really wanted to use my Pop Up Posies kit, but you know when you love something so much, you don’t want to use because you will be sad when you run out…? Yep, that’s how I feel about the Pop Up Posies kit. So I decided to switch gears and pulled out my Blossom Party die from Stampin’ Up! This is really a great die even though I have been neglecting it a bit. I really like the look when you layer a lot of the skinny flowers together, almost looks like a daisy. I used Soft Suede cardstock for the flower and added a Summer Starfruit brad (from the Pop Up Posies kit…eeek) I then layered some Pool Party Summer Starfruit and some DSP from the Sent With Love Kit and added some Soft Suede ribbon. I stamped the sentiment from the set Trendy Trees and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch and neatly tucked it under the ribbon. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Stampin’ Up! Oh, Hello Arrows

Hi, I am back again! Two posts in one night, but I had to squeeze this entry in for the sketch at the Paper Craft Crew Challenge before the deadline ended.  I was going for a worn look so I roughed up the edges of some Crumb Cake cardstock with my scissors. From the Oh, Hello stamp set in the Spring Catalog, I pulled out the arrow stamp and using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I lined up the arrows. The sentiment comes from the retired set Trendy Trees. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ UP! Chalkboard Effect

Hello!

I have seen the chalkboard effect all over the internet and I had to try it out for myself. It is a super simple effect and really makes a card fun. I started out with a base of Pool Party and then a layer of Basic Black. To create the chalkboard effect I used a white colored pencil to create a border and then took my white craft ink and sponged a little bit on the card. For the layout, I used the sketch from Deconstructed Sketches. For the flags, I changed it up a bit and created a banner using Pool Party, Basic Gray and a bit of Calypso Coral on a piece of white Baker’s Twine. The sentiment comes from the set Trendy Trees. I added a brad and a couple of rhinestones to embellish the card. Thanks for stopping by! Try the chalkboard effect out for yourself!
