The challenge this week at Sweet Stampin’ is to create a valentine and I thought I would create one for a friend. I started with a base of Crumb Cake and added a banner of Primrose Petals. Next, I punched out a large circle from some Very Vanilla paper and stamped the tree from the retired set Valentine Defined. I tied a Old Olive button with some Linen Twine and added a retired Chit Chat Rub On. Thanks for stopping by!
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching so I created this simple card using the sketch from CASE This Sketch. I kept the colors neutral since I will probably give it to my husband. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and stamped the Dictionary background stamp on it. I added some retired Real Red DSP and punched out two small half circles and ran some Linen Thread between them. Next, using some Stampin’ Write Markers, I colored the tree from the retired set Valentine Defined (be sure to “huff” on the stamp after you color it to re-moisten the ink!) The “love you” stamp from the same set is stamped on the Decorative Label punch and tucked under the main layer. Thanks so much for stopping by!
The set Valentine Defined (which is now retired) was my first Valentine’s Day set and I fell in love with the tree from this set. I created this card for the challenge at Sweet Stampin’ Challenge Blog. Their theme is “Love is all Around” and I thought a Valentine’s Day card would be perfect. I layered Old Olive, Real Red and Crumb Cake cardstock to create this card. I create the background on the Old Olive base, I just took an open ink pad and dabbed and swiped it across the cardstock. Using markers, I colored the tree and then added the Chocolate Chip rub-on (retired) to complete the card. Thanks for looking!
Today I have a Valentine’s Day card to share with you which fits right in with the theme over at The Paper Players. I started off with a base of Crumb Cake and added a layer of Real Read. I pulled out some Designer Series Paper in Real Red and layered that on top. The cute heart through bubble is from the Stampin’ Up! set Valentine Defined, which is now retired. I punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch and added a piece of Real Red ribbon. Thanks for looking!
I had a small crisis when I was creating this card last night. I was ready to cut out the heart images using my new Hearts A Flutter framelits and I put out my framelits and …the heart one was not in there. I looked everywhere! I even had my husband looking for it, LOL. I ended up finding it lucky, but in a way it was almost a good thing that I lost it because I ended up finding my paper snip scissors in the trashcan of all places…wonder how they got there, LOL! So anyway, using this sketch over at Nacho Average Challenge, I created this card. I started off using the Honeycomb embossing folder and a sponged a bit of white craft ink on the raised part to highlight the hexagons a bit. I then pulled a bit of Rose Red cardstock out, a very neglected color of mine, and punched a small strip using the Eyelet Border punch which is now retired. I punched a tag using the Small Tag Punch and stamped the heart from Hearts A Flutter stamp set in Rose Red and cut out with the coordinating framelit. A piece of white Baker’s Twine and the Love sentiment for the retired Valentine Defined set finished off the card. Thanks for looking!
