Stampin’ Up! Lots of Stars!

Hope you are having a good weekend! This idea just popped into my head the other night. The large star stamp is from the set Perfect Pennants which is available on January 3rd and the little star is from a Sale-A-Bration set! I used the colors from the challenge at Color Q. The Happy Birthday stamp comes from the set Wishes Your Way and since this is a birthday card, it fits right in with the challenge at Seize the Birthday. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Madison Avenue & Punches

Happy Friday! Are you looking forward to the weekend as much as I am? Well anyway, I really liked how the card I made the other week using a similar design so I pulled my inspiration from there. The colors are from the latest Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I decided to keep this card really clean and simple by stamping the flower design from Madison Avenue in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake. I punched out the little flowers from the Punch Pack and added a small rhinestone to the center of each. The sentiment comes from the set Wishes Your Way. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Dictionary Happy Birthday

This card is for a a couple challenges, Color Throwdown, Seize the Birthday and Case this Sketch. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and added another layer of Crumb Cake stamped with the new Dictionary stamp in Whisper White Craft ink. Next, I used one of the Apothecary Arts framelits and punched out some retired Melon Mambo DSP. Next I added a whisper white flag and stamped the Happy Birthday from Wishes Your Way in Bermuda Bay. Finally I added a So Saffron button tied with some Baker’s Twine. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Vanilla Pop-Up Posie

I am slowly getting back into the swing of things again. This card came together a bit easier than my card yesterday. I started with a great sketch from Fab Friday that I flipped on its side. For my based I chose Crumb Cake and pulled out my neglected spritzer tool to add a bit of detail to the base layer. To play along with the challenge at Sweet Stampin’ and the hexagon embossing folder on a flagged piece of Pool Party. The little flags on the top and bottom in Basic Gray are the flags framelits from the Hearts A Flutter framelits. I pulled out some pieces for the vanilla flower from the Pop-Up Posies kit and notched out a couple areas on each layer to make it look more flower like. To create the leaves of the flower, I took my 5-Petal Flower punch and cut out a coupe petals from that and using my Simple Scored, make a crease down the middle. Last, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Wishes Your Way set in Basic Gray. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Masculine DSP

I created a pretty simple card for by cousin’s birthday. I love the DSP from Sycamore Street because it makes great masculine cards! I started with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and used Sahara Sand as my base. I paper pierced a piece of Island Indigo and added a slim piece of Tangerine Tango along with some white Baker’s Twine. I stamped the Happy Birthday from the set Wishes Your way and finished the card off with a couple silver brads. Thanks for stopping by!

You Are Headed In The Right Direction…

I just love the phrase “You are headed in the right direction” from the Stampin’ UP! set Wishes Your Way. I created this card for my brother who shared some great news with me the other day. He applied to PhD programs for Political Science and he got accepted to his top choice, University of Wisconsin! I am extremely proud of him and see bright things for his future. The base of this card is Sahara Sand and I added a strip of DSP from the pack Sycamore Street. Seriously…if you do not have this paper yet, you need to get it fast! It is free during Sale-A-Bration when you spend $50. Since the paper is from Sale-A-Bration, it fit perfectly in with the challenge over at SU Only! I paper pierced down the middle and added a button. The button is Pumpkin Pie which does not exactly coordinate with the Tangerine Tango in the designer series paper which I was kinda bummed about. After I finished the card, I realized I had a whole bag of Tangerine Tango buttons that came in the Ribbon & Button pack from Sale-A-Bration. Ooops! Thanks for taking a look!

Stampin’ Up! Sycamore Street DSP

Today I created a card for the sketch at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I decided to flip the sketch on its side and layered some Basic Gray, Melon Mambo and Sycamore Street DSP. Using the Apothecary Accents Framelits I punched out the square-like object and pierced around the object by using the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the set Wishes Your Way and created a flag with the Itty Bitty Banners Framelits. I added a button and a bit of retired Basic Gray Satin ribbon. I also tried to participate in the color challenge at ColorQ, but to my surprise, I have nothing, I repeat nothing, in the color of Poppy Parade. So I tried to improvise and I lightly dabbed the Happy Birthday stamp first on the Melon Mambo ink and then onto the Real Red. I think it is as close to Poppy Parade as I could have got LOL. Hope it counts!

Stampin’ Up! Chevron Embossing Folder

Today I created a masculine  birthday card using the sketch from Retro Sketches and the color combination from ColorQ. I first cut out the rectangles in Night of Navy, Basic Gray and Summer Sun (retired which I substituted from Daffodil Delight. I taped those together and embossed them with the Stampin’ Up! Chevron embossing folder. I then added those to a base of Crumb Cake. Using the “Happy Birthday” from the new Wishes Your Way stamp set in the Spring Catalog and my Flag framelits, I created a little banner. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Madison Avenue…Again!

Well, we are almost to 2013 so I hope everyone has a fun and safe New Year’s Eve. Today I created a card for the sketch over at Retro Sketches. I just love their sketches. I started out with a base of Sahara Sand and added a small strip of Designer Series Paper which will be available during Sale-A-Bration. I then layered a piece of Sahara Sand on Whisper White and stamped the image from Madison Avenue which will also be available during SAB. The Thank You is from a new set, Wishes Your Way, in the new Spring Catalog which will debut in just a couple of days. Next, I cut out the scalloped flag in Island Indigo from the new framelits (also available in the Spring Catalog) which coordinate with the new set, Hearts A Flutter. I added a Tangerine Tango button and a bit of Baker’s Twine to finish off the card. Thanks for stopping by! Happy New Year!

Stampin’ Up! Fox Birthday

So my brother’s birthday is tomorrow and he just loves the fox stamp from the set Fox & Friends. I created this card using the sketch over at Try Stampin’ On Tuesdays. It is a great sketch with a fun tag. I started out with a base of Sahara Sand and embossed a panel using the Square Lattice embossing folder. I added a strip of the new Sycamore Street DSP available during the upcoming Sale-A-Bration and flagged the end using the square punch. The tag is my favorite part. I started out my cutting a tag out of Pool Party, added a small strip of DSP, and using the circle punch, punched out a hole in the tag so that the little fox could peek though. I tied the end with some Island Indigo ribbon which is also available during Sale-A-Bration. To finish the card off, I added the Happy Birthday sentiment from the new set in the Spring Catalog Wishes Your Way. Thanks for stopping by!
