Here is another card that we made at stampin’ night. This card was cased from a sample in the new 2015 Occasions catalog which will go live on January 6th. I started with a base of Crumb Cake and used the small dot from the set Work of Art and stamped in Crumb Cake. A small strip of Calypso Coral separates the top from the bottom. I added some Seam Binding and Pearls and stamped the sentiment from the set Sweet Essentials.
Hope you have a good day!
I love creating a little something extra special for my friend’s birthdays. The decorated the little bag below and filled it with some candy for by BFF’s birthday. Forgive me for the random background, I snapped the picture really quick before I gave it to her LOL. I stamped the bottom of the bag with the Dotty Angles stamp set and heat embossed with Whisper White Embossing Powder. The lollie was created using Basic Gray Cardstock and then I heat embossed the sentiment from the set Perfect Pennants on Coastal Cabana.
I think a little something extra can really make a person’s day so I challenge you to make something extra special for a friend’s birthday rather than just a Facebook message =)
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
I am back again to share another card. I sent this one to my brother a while back. A while ago I chose the set Life’s Adventures with my hostess dollars because I love the stamps in this set and I don’t really have anything like it. I stamped the fox and then used the Blender Pens to color it. I kept this card pretty simple over all since it was for my brother.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I have another 3×3 card to share today. I love these little things, they are just the right amount of cute to make someone feel special. For this card, I designed a birthday card by using the cake from the new set One Tag Fits All that will be in the new 2015 Occasions Catalog. The stamp comes with a sentiment, but I trimmed it off and created two stamps so I could just stamp the cake repeatedly in Baked Brown Sugar. The sentiment is one that I have been hanging onto from the set Essentials. I like that it is a masculine font.
I think this card makes a quick and easy masculine birthday card. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by!
Stampin up recently released a couple new photopolymer stamp sets. I sometimes feel that these sets get overlooked since they are not in the annual catalog. But these stamp sets are such a great value! You get lots of great stamps for a great price. Check them out!
Snuggles and Smooches $15.95
Banner Blessings $15.95
And for more photopolymer stamp sets, you can see them HERE!
Last night I had some friends over for a stampin’ night. We usually make three to four cards and here is one that we made last night. It was roughly cased from a sample in the new 2015 Sale A Bration brochure. I started out with a base of Kraft cardstock and cut out banners using the framelits in Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana. I stamped the Happy Birthday in Real Red and that stamp is from the retired set Essentials. A Real Red Candy Dot adds a bit of fun to the card while keeping it masculine.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stampin!
So recently I bought the Circle Monogram stamp. I have always wanted a “hand stamped by” stamp and I thought it would be perfect to get just in time to put it on the back of all of my Christmas cards. I think this stamp might be a bit overlooked since it is not in the main catalog, but this stamp is awesome! The software to personalize this stamp is super easy to use and you can create anything! The fonts and layout are set, but you can do pretty much anything you want! The options are limitless. You can make it an address stamp or thank you stamp or anything you can think of. See those dots around the outside…it is just a colon typed over and over again to create a fun pattern.
So what do you think? Super cute right!
Hope you are having a good weekend so far. I have another sneak peak from the 2015 Occasions catalog! Once again, I made a card using the new set One Tag Fits All. I stuck with the 3×3 design and this time used the set featuring the love banners. How cute are these little banners?! I stamped the stamp twice and then used a Blender Pen to add a bit of color.
For this stamp, the banner and the words come on one stamp. I cut the banner and the words apart creating two stamps essentially. I like doing this to make the stamp more versatile and then you can position the words any way that you like. For this card, I stamped the words in Melon Mambo and then turned that into a flag and popped it up.
My coloring could use a bit of improvement…maybe if I had some Blendabilties it would look better?! Might need to add those to my wishlist! Thanks so much for stopping by!
So I told you yesterday how I went to the sneak peak event for the new catalog. Let me just tell you that in this catalog, there is something for everyone. There is a lot of new and innovative products that I can’t just wait to get my hands on. Of course, at every Stampin’ Up! event, you can’t go away empty handed. They gave us the stamp set One Tag Fits All and while it wouldn’t be my first choice, I decided to make some cards and I instantly started to love this quick and easy stamp set.
So of course I made a 3×3 card with a Kraft base. For this one, I used the You Are A Gem stamp. I love that you can use your blender pens or even Blendilities with this cute set! I added a piece of Hello Honey cardstock that was embossed with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder and then used my Blender Pens and Coastal Cabana ink to color the gem. This card was super and quick, but send it to a friend and it will instantly make their day. I also love the font on this stamp.
Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for another card using this set!
Wow! It has been a long time since I last posted. I have been in a stampin’ rut lately and so when you aren’t making many cards, there isn’t a lot to post about! It always seems this happens around Christmas time…I tend to burn myself out making Christmas cards and then I just don’t feel like stamping. I also got a new job so I have been busy settling into that. I think it was a good move since I will not have tax season anymore in a couple months so that means more time to stamp!
Other stampin’ news is that the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration & Occasions Catalog Premier was last night! Oh it was so much fun! It is a really good time when you fill a theater with Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and I love listening to everyone oh and ah over new products and just get excited about what is in the new catalog. Honestly, I this event could not have come at a better time because it has helped me get inspired again and want to get in my stamp room and STAMP!
So…do you want a sneak peak of the new 2015 Occasions Catalog?!?! Of course you do! So here it is!
It is so beautiful! And guess what? That lovely bouquet on the cover, it is make of paper! And it gets better! It is a kit inside the catalog! I can just image making those flowers and attaching it to my grapevine wreath for Spring.
So since I have been in a bit of a rut, I have been focusing on 3×3 cards. I also have a lot of 3″ Kraft paper left over from my Christmas cards so expect to see a lot of 3×3 Kraft bases =) I borrowed the hostess set Hello There from my amazing friend and also her Crushed Curry embossing powder to create the center of the flower. I wrinkled up some Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo paper that I used the Scalloped Punches on and created a super easy flower. Simple and quick!
So stay tuned for some more posts and a sneak peak of a new stamp set from the 2015 Occasions catalog! Thanks for stopping by and forgive me for being silent for so long!
