The Creation Station: Round 4!

Creation Station Header-001

Hello!

We are back for Round 4 of the Creation Station blog hop! We are featuring some great new products this round so be sure to check out all of the blogs! For this round, I focused on the Gift Card Enclosure Pack. This is one of the items in the new catalog that is really a good bang for your buck. You get 10 of these gift card enclosures for just $5.95! They are so easy to use and decorate and make giving a not so special gift card a bit more special.

So we also had the theme this round of weddings so for my first example I created a wedding gift card holder. Have I told you how much I loooove the new Kraft cardstock? Well these enclosures are made for the same amazing paper. They are so easy to work with and any color pops of the great kraft base. I used a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper to add a bit of pizazz to the front and then used some Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon to add a bit of texture. Have you ever tried the “bunching effect” with seam binding? Just pull one of the middle threads and push the ribbon down while holding the thread! I pulled out a stamp from a retired set Sincere Salutations because I just couldn’t find a good wedding stamp.

For the next example, I wanted to make it a bit more fun! Hands down, my favorite set in the new catalog is Dotty Angles. I used it here on this example by embossing it with white embossing powder. I love how it pops against the kraft background. I added a sentiment from the new set Hi There and even squeezed in a bit of the retired Summer Starfruit cardstock.

To keep with the dotty theme, I embossed two of the back panels with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder. To keep this one closed, I punched two small holes and tied it with some Linen Thread. You can also close these by doing the box technique where you tuck one flap underneath the other one.

These enclosures even have pre-cut slits for the gift card! You don’t have to use them though! As you can see here, I created a pocket by adding another piece of cardstock. You can easily tuck cash into these too!

Be sure to hop back to see Jennifer Frost’s amazing creations or forward to Jennifer Downey. I am surrounded by Jennifers! Be sure to add the Gift Card Enclosures to your next Stampin’ Up! order. They really are a great product!

  2. Nice work dressing these pretty gift card holders! I think kraft is a great base colour and I like how you have shown a sample that is both feminine and one that could work well for both genders. Thanks for sharing!
