Army Birthday Party Invitation

Hello!

I was so excited when my cousin asked me to make some army birthday party invitations for her son. Now I can’t take all of the credit because my little cousin who is turning 8 helped me design them =) I used My Digital Studio to lay everything out and found some camo and army guy clip art online. The font that his name is in is called “Army Rust” and it is from wwww.dafont.com.

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Gift Tags

Hello!

So I recently started a new job and I wanted to make a small little gift for my new teammates. I bought some Dove chocolate, and while I am not a huge chocolate person, man those caramel filled ones are AH-Mazing! So I put the chocolates in clear cello bag and added a little tag. I still have tons of Kraft cardstock scraps left over from my Christmas cards so this was a perfect time to use some more of those scraps! I used the smallest star framelit from the Stars Framelits collection and punched those out in the Champagne Glimmer Paper. Those were then backed on small circle punched from Very Vanilla. I then tied the simple tags on to the bags with some Linen Thread. Simple and easy!

Clean & Simple Baby Shower Invite

Hi again!

My cousin has been working away again! I just had to share these baby shower invitation she made. She mounted the Very Vanilla layer on a layer of Night of Navy leaving just a thin border. She created a focal image by aligning three circles in the colors Cameo Coral (retired), Cameo Coral and Crumb Cake. She finished the card by stitching through the middle of the circles.

Stampin’ Up! Chevron Gift Bags

Hi There!

I had some friends over for the new catalog premier party last night. It was a lot of fun! Be sure to check in this week as I will be sharing some examples of the cards that we created featuring a lot of the new products! As a little thank you for attending, I made some little gift bags using the Chevron Gift Bags from Stampin’ Up! I think this is a product that can easily be overlooked, but don’t! You can get 10 of these bags for just $3.95! These would be perfect for wedding or baby shower favors or even cute packaging for a gift card. I cut out a Melon Mambo banner with the Banner Framelits and added a Tea Lace Doily on top. In the middle is a 2.5″ Coastal Cabana circle with the hello from the new set HI There is embossed with white embossing powder. It is all held on the bag with a cute mini clothespin. Thanks so much for stopping by!

NERF Birthday Party Invitation

Hello!

Hope you are having a good week! My cousin asked me to make some birthday party invitations and of course I agreed. When she said it was going to be a NERF party, I had to do a bit of research as to what the invitation should look like. I found some great examples on Pinterest. So this is what I came up with.

NERF Party Invite

I found the clip art online with a google search and downloaded a font called Crillee from http://www.fontzone.net. I think it passed my little cousin’s approval because he said it was “cool” =). If you have any questions, let me know! Thank you for stopping by!

UPDATE! Since I have been getting a lot of the requests for the clip art, I have decided to include them in the post for you to download since sometimes I forget to respond to an email. Please only use these for personal use and not commercial use. Also, if you would not mind, please leave a comment below if you decide to use any of the materials I have shared below. Thanks! Enjoy!

The Creation Station Blog Hop!

Creation Station Header-001

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to share the first Creation Station Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that have joined together to bring you some inspiration from Stampin’ Up!’s amazing products. On the first and third Sunday of each month, we will each feature a couple of products from the current catalogs so be sure to hop on through to all the other blogs!

One of the products selected for this round is the stamp set Geometrical from the Occasions catalog. The set contains 12 trendy stamps and is $29.95 for wood mount and $21.95 for clear mount.

133161GI wanted to share some fun examples for you, but problem was I don’t own this set! So my solution was to turn to MDS! Did you know that most of Stampin’ Up!’s stamp sets are available in digital form? This is so great because each stamp is just like a piece of clip art and even if you do not own MDS (Stampin’ Up!’s software) you can use the stamps in any program!

When I saw the arrow, I immediately thought of a funky and fun background.  Here is a helpful tip when using MDS: Line up the arrows in one line and select all of the arrows and then right click and say “Group”. This will create one stamp of a line of arrows! What a time saver! Now you can easily line them up to create a fun background! I used the colors Basic Gray, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana and Lucky Limeaid (retired).  A simple punch and sentiment keep the card clean and simple.

For my other project, I decided to use several elements from the digital download. I used the sentiment and then colored it with Gumball Green and Melon Mambo. I added a couple hexagons and resized them to different sizes. I also added an Smoky Slate ink splatter. I didn’t want the ink splatter to interfere with the words so I used a circle punch and colored it white and then layered it behind the words, but in front of the ink splatter. Wa-la!

Geometrical mds

To create a bit of dimension to the card, I added a couple Candy Dots – my fav!

I hope you enjoyed the samples of the first ever Creation Station blog hop! Be sure to hop to the next blog or back to the previous one! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Chevron Baby Shower Banner

Hello!

Well my cousin’s baby shower is tomorrow and I was asked to make a simple banner for the event. I turned to MDS to create the chevron paper. I used the chevron image from the Chevron Punch Kit Digital Download and resized the chevron so that it would cover the entire page. I colored it using Night of Navy and Lucky Limeaid and printed them from my computer. Assembling the banner was quick and easy! I love finding new fonts so the font I used was called Wofl In the City from DaFont.

The banner also coordinates with the cupcake toppers I made the other day. You can see them HERE!

Thanks for stopping by and it’s Friday!!

Stampin’ Up! Baby Shower Cupcake Toppers

Hello!

I have a cute project to show you today. My cousin is having a baby shower this weekend and I was tasked to make some cute decorations for the cupcakes. You may remember the invitation we created for her that I posted a while back. You can see it here. He colors are green and navy and of course chevron! I made three styles of toppers. One Has a Night of Navy background with an owl from the retired set Fox & Friends. The second topper has a Lucky Limeaid (retired) background and the middle stamped with a chevron stamp that I got from a My Paper Pumpkin kit. The Sweet Baby banners if from the set Itty Bitty Banners and of course I used the coordinating framelits to cut it out! Super easy! Finally, the last one has a Whisper White background and it was stamped with the same chevron stamp. I cut out a “D” with an e-cutter and attached it to a Lucky Limeaid circle. The punch that I used is from the Christmas catalog which I love. I was originally going to use a scallop, but chose this one instead since it is a bit more masculine. I also have to make a banner for the shower so check back in later this week for pictures! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hand Made Stampin’ Up! Chevron Baby Shower Invitation

Hello!

I know it has been over a week since I have last posted, but things are a bit crazy right now =) My cousins and I got together tonight and created a chevron themed baby shower invitation. We stamped the main panel with the Chevron background stamp in Lucky Limeaid ink and then mounted it on a layer of navy.

The invites were inspired by her bedding below =)
