Stampin’ Up! Owl Baby Card

Hi again!

My cousin recently had a baby and I needed to get a card in the mail A.S.A.P! I made this quick 3×3 card to send to her. I layered a piece of Melon Mambo that was embossed with the large circle embossing folder and layered on a piece of Kraft cardstock. Next, I stamped the owl from the retired set Fox & Friends in Melon Mambo and layered it on a Coastal Cabana scallop and added two Daffodil Delight banners that were punched with the small banner punch. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Stars Mask

Hello!

I hope you are having a good week so far. Last night I had some friends over for a stampin’ night and it was so much fun. It is always fun to get together and create. I recently found out that my cousin is having a baby so I wanted to mail her a little card to tell her congratulations. It is always so much fun to get something in the mail. I started out with a base of Coastal Cabana and then used some Fiber Paste over the Stars Mask to create some little white hearts on the background. If you don’t have Fiber Paste, another option would be to use White Craft Ink on the stars. Next, I pulled out my favorite baby set, Fox & Friends, and stamped the giraffe in Bermuda Bay.  I added a small banner and a Tangerine Tango retired button. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Gift Bag and Card

Hello!

My cousins baby shower is today so I added a few elements to the gift bag to dress it up a bit. I love making the gift a bit more personalized. I started with a plain kraft bag and then tied some retired Old Olive ribbon around the handled. Next, I created a tag using the super easy Tag Topper Punch and tied some Coastal Cabana thick Baker’s Twine through the tie. To create the focal image, I used the owl from the retired set Fox & Friends and then added a banner from the set Sweet Essentials. A bit of ruffled Coastal Cabana ribbon a couple hearts complete the tag!

I also made a coordinating card to go with the gift. I started with a base of Coastal Cabana and used the Scallop Edge die to create a fun edge. I layered some retired DSP behind the front. Using the same elements as the gift bag, I created the card front. Hope you have a wonderful day! Looks like it should be nice here today which is great after a long rainy week!

Stampin’ Up! Baby Shower Cupcake Toppers

Hello!

I have a cute project to show you today. My cousin is having a baby shower this weekend and I was tasked to make some cute decorations for the cupcakes. You may remember the invitation we created for her that I posted a while back. You can see it here. He colors are green and navy and of course chevron! I made three styles of toppers. One Has a Night of Navy background with an owl from the retired set Fox & Friends. The second topper has a Lucky Limeaid (retired) background and the middle stamped with a chevron stamp that I got from a My Paper Pumpkin kit. The Sweet Baby banners if from the set Itty Bitty Banners and of course I used the coordinating framelits to cut it out! Super easy! Finally, the last one has a Whisper White background and it was stamped with the same chevron stamp. I cut out a “D” with an e-cutter and attached it to a Lucky Limeaid circle. The punch that I used is from the Christmas catalog which I love. I was originally going to use a scallop, but chose this one instead since it is a bit more masculine. I also have to make a banner for the shower so check back in later this week for pictures! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Owl Congratulations

Hello and happy Sunday! Well, there is nothing like living in the Midwest. Yesterday it was 70 degrees and today it is sleeting…=( So since I am stuck inside, I wanted to share a card I made this week for my cousin who just announced that they are expecting a baby! I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and then added another layer that I embossed with clear embossing powder and the Simply Stars stamp set. Next, I added a large circle and stamped the owl from the set Fox & Friends in Summer Starfruit. I added a small button tied with some Baker’s Twine and also a banner with the congratulations from the set Delightful Dozen. I am submitting this card at the challenge Anything Goes at Stampin’ For the Weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Woo Hoo!

Hello!

Well we just found out that our friends are expecting an addition to their family so I wanted to create a quick and simple card to mail them. I started with a base of Coastal Cabana and stamped the Chevron background stamp on it. Next, I added a layer of Gumball Green cardstock. For the main panel, I stamped the lion from the set Fox & Friends and added the “Woo Hoo!” word bubble from the set Just Saying =) Very simple, but cute, I hope it brings a smile to their face. Also, this card is for the “Baby” challenge at Addicted to CAS. Perfect!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Owl

Hello!

Whelp, we officially have a lot of snow….I created this card over the weekend for the sketch at Retro Sketches. My cousin’s baby girl will be turning one next month and wanted to make her a birthday card. Her birthday party theme is pink and orange with owls. I started out with a base of Early Espresso and added a strip of retired DSP. Next, I used the scallop and circle punch to create a focal image and stamped the owl from the set Fox & Friends in pumpkin Pie. Instead of a ribbon like the sketch called for, I switched it out for a flag that I stamped happy birthday on from the set Moving Forward. Finally, I added a couple small brads. Thanks for stopping by!

Favorite Card from 2013!

Hello!

The challenge this week at Just Add Ink was to pick your favorite card for the last year. That was sure a tough one, but there is one card that sticks out in my mind. I chose the Adorable Baby card. I think I like this card a lot because it has a lot of elements, but it is also simple in nature. It also features one of my favorite color combinations. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Adorable Baby

Hello!

Hope you are having a good start to the week. Sometimes it is just nice to sit down and create when you are inspired by something. Demonstrators got a sneak peak of the new Occasions Catalog from Stampin’ Up! which will go live on January 3, 2014 and one of the samples (well lots of the samples) caught my eye. I love the layout of the card so I decided to draw my inspiration from that. I started out with a base of Pool Party and stamped the amazing Dictionary stamp in Pool Party. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the Chevron background stamp in Summer Starfruit on the bottom portion and added a small piece of Basic Gray cardstock. I made a small Pool Party flag and added a Glimmer Brad to the center. I retired Chit Chat rub-on completes that layer. Next, up was the animals from the retired set Fox & Friends. Finally, I tied some retired Pool Party Baker’s Twine around the top and added a delicate doily to soften the card up a bit.
