Stampin’ Up! Dictionary

Hello!

So this card just kind of fell together with the scraps that I had lieing on my desk. I am using this card in 3 challenges!

SU Only – create a birthday card

Sweet Stamping – Use Kraft (crumb cake)

Monday Lunchtime Sketch – sketch which I flipped on its side

I really liked how my card the other day turned out so I used that inspiration. I started off with a base of Crumb Cake and added a layer of Summer Starfruit that I distressed with my scissors. Next I stamped the Dictionary stamp in Basic Gray and ran it though the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I sponged some Crumb Cake ink on that. I added a small strip of Washi Tape and some Linen Twine. The sentiment comes from the retired set Essentials and is stamped in Basic Gray. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Distressed Honeycomb Embossing Folder

Hello!

Hope you are having a great week so far. Last night, I sat down and created a couple cards. The one that I will share today is for the “Texture” challenge at Crafty Creations. I first started out with a base of Basic Gray and a layer of Summer Starfruit. I wanted to add some texture on my next layer so I stamped the Dictionary stamp in Basic Gray and sponged the edged of the cardstock with Crumb Cake ink. Next I ran that layer through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing folder and then sponged a bit more Crumb Cake ink on top. Next I stamped the sentiment from Vintage Verses in Basic Gray and cut it out with the Labels Framelits. From here. I added a piece of Natural Ribbon. To finish off the card, I added a strip of Washi Tape, a scrap of Bermuda Bay ribbon and a couple Candy Dots. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Honeycomb Washi Tape

Hello!

So when I saw the sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday, it just screamed washi tape to me! And I love any challenge that I can use my new Epic Day Washi Tape on. I layered some washi tape on a layer of Pool Party cardstock and then embossed a layer of Whisper White with the honeycomb embossing folder to mirror the hexagons on the washi tape. Using my oval framelits, I cut out a Crumb Cake oval and stamped the sentiment from the set Oh, Hello. I added a Basic Gray button tied with some Baker’s Twine. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Live the Life You’ve Imagined

Hello!

I found a new card challenge the other day. It is called Crazy for CAS and it looks pretty cool! This weeks challenge was to use washi tape and it was a great reason to pull out my newly acquired Epic Day Washi tape that I loooove! I also hope that you love the new Gorgeous Grunge set as much as I do because I can’t stop using it on my cards! I am addicted! So for the card, I started out by stamping some of the Gorgeous Grunge ink splatters on Crumb Cake cardstock in the same color ink. I layered a couple strips of the Epic Day Washi Tape and pulled out a sticker from the Epic Day stickers. I stamped the sentiment, Live the Life You’ve Imagined, ink black Stazon. I added a Pool Party flag to tie into the lines on the sticker and used a staple to attach it to the card, keeping with the grunge look. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Stampin’ Up! Epic Day Arrows

Hello!

Ugh, it is Monday. Oh well. I do have a card to share with you that I created for the sketch at CAS(e) This Sketch. I used the arrows from the Epic Day Stickers as my three images. I also strayed a bit on the challenge and kept adding elements. =\ Oh well. I love the new Epic Day Washi Tape and the Hey There Friend stamp from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Six Sided Sampler

Hello!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I sure did. I started out with the sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday and made a base of Bermuda Bay. I added a couple strips of the Epic Day Washi Tape (which I love!) and stamped some splatters from the set Gorgeous Grunge in Basic Gray. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to stamp, but the challenge at Less Is More inspired me to use the hexagons from the set Six Sided Sampler. I stamped those in Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Basic Gray. I just love this color combination! I added the Happy Birthday from the retired set Essentials stamped on a strip of Basic Gray. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Epic Day Washi Tape

Hello!

I am super excited today! My box of new catalog goodies arrived today! I could not wait to get home to play with everything! One of the things that I was really looking forward to using was the Epic Day Washi Tape. I have never used Washi Tape before, but I was excited to give it a try. I am combining two challenge today, one from CAS-ual Fridays for banners and flags and one from Just Us Girls for washi tape.

I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and a layer of Basic Gray and another layer of Crumb Cake. I created banners using the Washi Tape which I love! I also used the ink splatter stamp from the new set Gorgeous Grunge and the seriously stamp from the monthly My Paper Pumpkin kits. Thanks for stopping by!
