The Creation Station – Party Time!

Creation Station Header-001

Hey Everyone!

We are back with the Creation Station Blog Hop! This go around is the theme PARTY TIME! I created a couple projects this hop and can’t wait to show them to you!

The first card features one of my new favorite techniques…fiber paste! You can see my original post here on it. I used the polka dot mask from Stampin’ Up! and created a background with some texture by using fiber paste. I love the look of this! Next, I added a large circle with the stamp from the retired set Oh, Hello stamped in Melon Mambo. Next up, was a Hello Honey banner with a light chevron stamp on it and finally a piece of Smoky Slate Chevron ribbon.

For my next project, I created a goodie bag using the Chevron bags in the catalog. I started with a banner in some retired Gumball Green cardstock and added some washi tape to the top. I couple glimmer brads and the stamp from the set Perfect Pennants makes a cute gift bag that is perfect for any party!

Stampin’ Up! Project Life Word Bubble

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a good week so far! It has been quite a while since I played along with a challenge so I thought I would give the challenge at The Friday Mashup a go. The challenge was to use a word bubble so I kept this card simple. I love, love, love the Project Life cards. I had a coupleĀ friends over to stamp on Monday night and I made a challenge where we each had to pick a Project Life card and make a card with it. The cards came out super cute and I love seeing everyone’s ideas. So for this card, I just used a 3 x 4 inch Project Life card and added a word bubble stamped with the Happy Birthday from the retired set Essentials. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration DSP

Hello and Happy Friday!

I made a card last night featuring the DSP from Sale-A-Bration this year. I used the Apothecary Accents framelits and then used the paper piercer to punch out a design around the DSP. I added a Summer Starfruit Banner and tucked a bit of a Tea Lace Doily underneath. I added the sentiment from the retired set Upsy Daisy and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. A small retired Pool Party button adds a little accent. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Word Bubble

Hello!

I created this card for a very special person =) This card is for my cousin and BFF, she is the one who first introduced me to stampin’. I also must give credit where credit is due and got some inspiration for this card from Amy O’Neill’s blog. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and added a small Whisper White layer and then then another Crumb Cake layer stamped with the Chevron background stamp. Next, I used the Word Bubble framelits and cut one out from some Melon Mambo cardstock and used the Small Heart Punch. The Happy Birthday is from the set Wishes Your Way. A couple Candy Dots finish off the card. This card is also for the challenge Seize the Birthday! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Travel Binder using My Digital Studio

Hello!

So I have a project I created using My Digital Studio (MDS). I use MDS every now andĀ then when I want to create a cute digital page. So it is no surprise that I am anxiously awaiting our vacation and while it isĀ a couple months away, IĀ cannotĀ helpĀ but plan for it. I am one of those people that research like crazy!Ā It is kind of a problem. Well when we go camping/hiking I always have tons ofĀ brochures and trail maps that I printed out so that we know what activities are around that we can do. Usually, I just have loose papers and they get scattered all over the truck and then they end upĀ getting left in the truck even after we get back. So to make all my notes a little bitĀ more organized, IĀ created a travel binder. I got this idea from another blog calledĀ All Those DetailsĀ so be sure to check out her post as well.

For the front cover, I used the Go Everywhere Framables digital download from Stampin’ Up! and recolored the image using Basic Gray, Gumball Green and the background is Pool Party. What is great about Stampin’ Up!’s digital downloads is that you do not have to have MDS to use them!! You can download them and it is just like a piece of clip art!

Trip planner

My next page is Campground Details and I made the background of this page Pool Party as well and created a couple white boxes with rounded corners. I tend to use the Drop Shadow technique on all of the layers to give it a less flat feel. The font I am using is called Throw My Hands Up In The Air and it is available from DaFont. The cute little trees come from the digital download called Outdoor Exploration Kit.

Campground review

The final pages I created were just a page for Trip Notes. Since I have another blog about camping and hiking found HEREĀ I like to take notes about things that I want to remember to blog about.

Stampin’ Up! Chevron Hello

Hello!

Ugh…this card took about three trips back to my stamp room to complete it. I just couldn’t get anything going tonight, I was feeling very un-crafty. I pulled the colors from the challenge at the Paper Players. I started out with a base of my favorite color, Coastal Cabana and stamped the Chevron background stamp in Versamark. Next, I added a Crushed Curry banner that I cut using the square punch. Using the Just Saying Framelits, I punched out a word bubble and stamped the Hello from the set Four You in Melon Mambo (had to substitute for Primrose Petals). Beneath that, I added a large scallop that I punched twice, turning it just a bit after the first punch. Finally, I added a couple buttons tied with Whisper White Baker’s Twine. This is really a great, fun color combination! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Simply Stars Gift Bag

Hello!

Today is my husband’s birthday so I decorated his gift bag with Stampin’ Up! supplies. I love doing this because I think it adds a hand made touch and really shows that you took a bit of extra time to make it special. I kept it simple starting with some a Gumball Green flag embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.Ā  Next, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray on a circle of Pool Party. This stamp is from the 2014 Occasions catalog and will be available to order in January! I added a Basic Gray banner and stamped a couple stars from the set Simply Stars in Crushed Curry. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Just Saying!

Hello!

Almost to the weekend! I made a quick card last night for the birthday challenge at Seize the Birthday. I started out with some Gumball Green Coordinations card stock and embossed it with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I then lightly sanded the raised honeycombs. Next, I punched out a Coastal Cabana circle and stamped the ink splatter from the set Gorgeous Grunge. Next, I stamped the word bubble from the upcoming Occasions catalog in Basic Gray and punched it out using the coordinating framelit. Finally, I added a retired banner from a Simply Scrappin’ kit and a metal brad. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Color Burst

Hello!

As a demonstrator, every other month we get a magazine in the mail from Stampin’ Up! It has tips and tutorials and a lot of great inspiration. I decided to give the one I call a color burst a try for the Anything Goes challenge at Stampin’ Royalty. It is their 200th challenge so play along! I created a mask of the burst and using my retired colored spritzer, spritz the colors Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie onto the card. I then removed the mask and added the tag using the stamp set Really Good Greetings and the Chalk Talk Framelits. I added a couple Candy Dots. This card came together pretty quick and easy. I thought it would a be good inspirational card. Thanks for stopping by!
