Hi There!
Hope you are having a good week so far! We are almost to the weekend! So when Stampin’ Up! introduced Project Life, I had no idea what it was…none what so ever! After a bit of research, I found out that it is a extremely popular form of scrapbooking. Rather than having to create a whole scrapbook page with a lot of elements, Project Life focuses on pages that you can just slip a card into with a bit of journaling or even stamping and then add a couple photos to it. I was really intrigued by this method of scrapbooking since it was clean and simple and most of all easy. Problem is, I don’t really have anything I wanted to scrapbook. I mean of course I could scrapbook my adorable dog, but then people might thing I am even more obsessed with her than I already am =) But I did not want to shy away from Project Life just because I didn’t want to scrapbook…so what is the next best option? Make cards!!! I ordered the Everyday Adventures Card Collection. The card kit contains 100 cards in 3 different sizes and the cards are double sided! The card collection is just $15.95. And it comes in this cute little box.
And here is a picture of a couple of my favorite patters. It is super easy to take a card, put it on a card base and add a simple accent and you can have several cards make in a matter of minutes!
So this is the card that I made for my brother using one of the Project Life cards. I chose the notebook looking paper card since he is very studious 😉 I kept the color scheme masculine with a Crumb Cake background and Basic Gray accents. He loves clean and simple. I used the stamp from the set Perfect Pennants and altered the word bubble framelit by running it through my Big Shot twice to make it longer.
We also took a camping trip to Spring Mill State Park in Indiana a couple weekends ago. It was a great park. You can check out a full review on my other blog HERE.
Thanks for stopping by!
