Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Christmas Kit

Hello!

My friend came over the other day to create some Christmas cards. This was her first time ever really stampin’ and she loved it! She chose the Merry Little Christmas Kit since it has everything she needed to make some cards! I love the kits because they are an option to make some quick cards or you can change it up, like my friend did, and create something fun! She used the envelope lines to add another pop of DSP to the card and we pulled out the retired set Serene Snowflakes. The sentiment comes from the set Happy Hour.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Hour

Hello!

Hope you are having a good Saturday! This morning we went to Strut Your Mutt which is a fundraiser for homeless dogs in the area. It was a lot of fun to see all the different breeds of dogs, but I think my pup was tired out afterward. Looks pretty comfortable…right?

It was nice to be outside on such a nice day, but now it is starting to rain so I came inside and there is no better time to stamp! I have had my eye on the sketch at Seize the Sketch for a while now and am just getting to it with a couple hours left on the deadline. My friend is going on vacation to Mexico in a couple weeks for her anniversary so I thought a card would be nice. I kept this card fun and tropical by using the colors Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeaid (retired). I embossed a piece of Coastal Cabana which the Chevron embossing folder and added a flag stamped with Cheers from the set Happy Hour. Using my markers, I colored the drink and layered it on a large scallop punch.

I also wanted to share my fall wreath with you. I have a basic grape vine wreath that I just switch out the accents for each theme/holiday. I bought some of the autumn berry accessories from Michael’s and tied those onto the wreath. The awesome burlap flowers are courtesy of my amazing cousin. She made a whole bunch of these for a bridal shower. She was so sweet to give me a couple and they added the perfect finish touch to the wreath. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Hour

Hello,

Hope you are having a great Sunday. The weather is beautiful  here! I am so ready for Spring. I have been in a bit of a stampin’ rut and I think this card shows it, LOL! It was way cuter in my hear. Oh well! I hope to stamp a bit more today so maybe I can create something that I actually like. I used the sketch from Fab Friday. I started out with a base of Calypso Coral (which is sticking around as a core color with the new Color Refresh!) and stamped the champagne glasses in Basic Gray and Elegant Eggplant. I tied a bit of Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine around the top and added a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper. I added the retired rub on for a cute anniversary card. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Hour

Hi!
As you will probably see with my future posts, I love the In Colors Pool Party and Lucky Limeaid. I think they compliment each other well and can create a fun and fresh card. I made this card as a retirement card for a friend. The images from the stamp set Happy Hour can create a fun background. I am also not a huge fan of skinny ribbon, but I ordered some of the 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and I am liking it more and more each time I use it. Thanks for looking!
