Hello and happy Saturday!

I do not have too much planned for this weekend so I am thinking about creating a few projects in my stampin’ room and maybe reading a book. I created this card for my last stampin’ night and it is fairly simple. I like creating a couple cards that vary in difficulty. I used the naturals paper and stamped the Dictionary background stamp on the back in crumb cake. Next, I added a layer of the new fabulous In Color Blackberry Bliss. The flower from the set Regarding Dahlia is stamped in Crushed Curry and the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss. Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for the Creation Station blog hop!

Stampin’ Up! No Designer Series Paper for 4CC!

Hello!

I just love being on the design team for the 4 Crafty Chicks. This weeks challenge was no designer series paper which should not be too hard. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and stamped my favorite background stamp, Dictionary, in Crumb Cake ink. Next, I added a layer of Coastal Cabana and a layer of Very Vanilla. I stamped the flower from the set Raining Flowers and the sentiment from the set Four You. I cute vintage button with some Baker’s Twine finished off the card! Thanks so much and be sure to play with 4CC this week!

Stampin’ Up! Thank You!

Hello!

Isn’t it nice to sometimes just sit down and make a simple card? Since the challenge at The Paper Players this week was to make a CAS Thankful for spring card, I chose to use one of my favorite sets Raining Flowers. I started with a base of Crumb Cake and added a layer of Summer Starfruit. Next up, I colored the flower with my markers and stamped the Thank You from the set Four You. After rounding the edges, the card was finished. Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to stamp today!

Stampin’ Up! Raining Flowers

Hello!

This week I have been on a kick using the Raining Flowers set. I just love the stamps in the this set. Do you ever find a set that you just can’t put down? So the challenge at the Friday Mashup was to create a project using flowers so this was perfect. I started with a base of Crumb Cake and then stamped the flowers in Coastal Cabana and Summer Starfruit. I added a strip with the Birthday Wishes from the set Four You since it never seems like I have enough birthday cards. I wanted a bit of a vintage feel so I sponged some Crumb Cake ink around the edges and used the Spritzer tool.

Stampin’ Up! Raining Flowers

Hello and Happy Saturday!

Don’t you just love it when a card you pictured in your head comes together! That is what happened for this card. I saw the sketch at The Friday Mashup and new exactly what I wanted to do.  I started with a base of Crumb Cake and stamped it with the Dictionary background stamp. Using the Apothecary Accents framelits, I cut out the large shape from some Coastal Cabana cardstock and since I was going for a bit of a vintage-y feel I sponged this layer with Crumb Cake and added a couple small brads. I pulled out the set Raining Flowers and colored the flower with markers and also sponged the edges of the Very Vanilla oval. Next, I added a couple small flags and stamped the sentiment from the set Four You. Finally, I added a small button that I had left over from the Burlap and Blooms Wreath Kit. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Birthday

Hi there!

This week, Case This Sketch has a great sketch with tons of possibilities. I started out with a base of Baked Brown Sugar and added a layer of Pool Party. Next, I stamped the flower from the set Regarding Dahlia in Calypso Coral and added a Whisper White and Velum banner. The sentiment is from the set Four You. A small Pool Button ties the card together. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Chevron Hello

Hello!

Ugh…this card took about three trips back to my stamp room to complete it. I just couldn’t get anything going tonight, I was feeling very un-crafty. I pulled the colors from the challenge at the Paper Players. I started out with a base of my favorite color, Coastal Cabana and stamped the Chevron background stamp in Versamark. Next, I added a Crushed Curry banner that I cut using the square punch. Using the Just Saying Framelits, I punched out a word bubble and stamped the Hello from the set Four You in Melon Mambo (had to substitute for Primrose Petals). Beneath that, I added a large scallop that I punched twice, turning it just a bit after the first punch. Finally, I added a couple buttons tied with Whisper White Baker’s Twine. This is really a great, fun color combination! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Sorbet DSP … Again!

Hello!th

I hope you are having a good weekend so far! I just can’t get enough of the new Sale-A-Bration DSP that will be available January 28th. When you spend $50, you can get the DSP for free! I am not one for pastel colors, but the colors just work on this DSP. I started out with a base of Sahara Sand and added some Sweet Sorbet DSP. On top of the tea doily, I created a tag with my new favorite punch, the Tag Topper Punch. I stamped the flower from the SAB set Petal Parade and added a banner stamped with the Birthday Wishes stamp from the set Four You. A small Baker’s Twine ties the knot on the card. The challenge at The Friday Mashup this week was to create a birthday card with twine. Perfect!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch

Hello!

Hope you are having a good start to your weekend. We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland! We got about 4 inches of snow here which is a lot of us. I saw the color challenge for Color Throwdown and it is really beautiful. I have to substitute Pool Party for Baja Breeze since I just sold all of my old ink pads. I stamped the flower from the set Mixed Bunch in Pool Party and added a banner of Orchid Opulence. I stamped the Hello from the set Four You in Basic Gray and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. I small retired Certainly Celery button tied with some Baker’s Twine finished off this card. This challenge really helped me realize the potential of Smoky Slate. I kept trying to pair it with bright colors and was just finding that I didn’t like how it would turn out so I sorta put Smoky Slate on the back burner for while. I really fell in love with pairing it with more lighter pastel colors in this challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you have a day filled with family, friends and good food! I created a simple card for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. The challenge was to use 8 of something. I used 8 stamps on my card and of course kept it clean and simple! I used a base of Coastal Cabana and then a layer of Basic Gray. I stamped the images from the set Mosaic Madness in the same colors with a pop Crushed Curry. I added the sentiment from the set Four You on a small flag and a couple rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by!
