Stampin’ Up! Project Life Word Bubble

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a good week so far! It has been quite a while since I played along with a challenge so I thought I would give the challenge at The Friday Mashup a go. The challenge was to use a word bubble so I kept this card simple. I love, love, love the Project Life cards. I had a couple friends over to stamp on Monday night and I made a challenge where we each had to pick a Project Life card and make a card with it. The cards came out super cute and I love seeing everyone’s ideas. So for this card, I just used a 3 x 4 inch Project Life card and added a word bubble stamped with the Happy Birthday from the retired set Essentials. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration DSP

Hello and Happy Friday!

I made a card last night featuring the DSP from Sale-A-Bration this year. I used the Apothecary Accents framelits and then used the paper piercer to punch out a design around the DSP. I added a Summer Starfruit Banner and tucked a bit of a Tea Lace Doily underneath. I added the sentiment from the retired set Upsy Daisy and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. A small retired Pool Party button adds a little accent. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Word Bubble

Hello!

I created this card for a very special person =) This card is for my cousin and BFF, she is the one who first introduced me to stampin’. I also must give credit where credit is due and got some inspiration for this card from Amy O’Neill’s blog. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake and added a small Whisper White layer and then then another Crumb Cake layer stamped with the Chevron background stamp. Next, I used the Word Bubble framelits and cut one out from some Melon Mambo cardstock and used the Small Heart Punch. The Happy Birthday is from the set Wishes Your Way. A couple Candy Dots finish off the card. This card is also for the challenge Seize the Birthday! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Chevron Hello

Hello!

Ugh…this card took about three trips back to my stamp room to complete it. I just couldn’t get anything going tonight, I was feeling very un-crafty. I pulled the colors from the challenge at the Paper Players. I started out with a base of my favorite color, Coastal Cabana and stamped the Chevron background stamp in Versamark. Next, I added a Crushed Curry banner that I cut using the square punch. Using the Just Saying Framelits, I punched out a word bubble and stamped the Hello from the set Four You in Melon Mambo (had to substitute for Primrose Petals). Beneath that, I added a large scallop that I punched twice, turning it just a bit after the first punch. Finally, I added a couple buttons tied with Whisper White Baker’s Twine. This is really a great, fun color combination! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Sent With Love

Hello!

Hope you are having a good week so far. I wanted to give the sketch challenge at Retro Sketches a try. I started with a base of Pool Party and added some retired Sent With Love DSP. The stamp is a sneak peek from the set Perfect Pennants that will be available in January! I thought the arrows went well with a lovey-dovey card =) Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Just Saying!

Hello!

Almost to the weekend! I made a quick card last night for the birthday challenge at Seize the Birthday. I started out with some Gumball Green Coordinations card stock and embossed it with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I then lightly sanded the raised honeycombs. Next, I punched out a Coastal Cabana circle and stamped the ink splatter from the set Gorgeous Grunge. Next, I stamped the word bubble from the upcoming Occasions catalog in Basic Gray and punched it out using the coordinating framelit. Finally, I added a retired banner from a Simply Scrappin’ kit and a metal brad. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Color Burst

Hello!

As a demonstrator, every other month we get a magazine in the mail from Stampin’ Up! It has tips and tutorials and a lot of great inspiration. I decided to give the one I call a color burst a try for the Anything Goes challenge at Stampin’ Royalty. It is their 200th challenge so play along! I created a mask of the burst and using my retired colored spritzer, spritz the colors Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie onto the card. I then removed the mask and added the tag using the stamp set Really Good Greetings and the Chalk Talk Framelits. I added a couple Candy Dots. This card came together pretty quick and easy. I thought it would a be good inspirational card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Punch Pack Fun

Hello!

I know I already shared on card today, but I made a second card and just wanted to post it. I combined two challenges on this card, the first one was the sketch from Retro Sketches and the send was to “Get Krafty” from Crafty Creations. It sure was not a problem to use Kraft (Crumb Cake) on my card since it is one of my favorite colors. I stamped the Dictionary stamp on a base of Crumb Cake. On another layer of Crumb Cake, I punched out some little flowers from the Punch Pack in Coastal Cabana. I adhered them with a glue dot and added a small rhinestone to the middle of each. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the set Itty Bitty Banners in Basic Gray and cut out using the coordinating framelits. Finally, I added a retired Whisper White button tied with some Linen Thread. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday with Baked Brown Sugar

Hello!

I created a simple birthday card for the sketch challenge at Stampin’ Celebration. I started out with a base of Baked Brown Sugar (a new In-Color) and pulled out some old DSP in Calypso Coral. I added some Coastal Cabana ribbon underneath the DSP. I stamped the Happy Birthday from the set Made For You and cut it out with the Apothecary Arts framelits. I added a retired Very Vanilla button tied with some Linen Twine. The challenge over at SU Only is to create a Happy Birthday card so I am also linking this card up over there!

Stampin’ Up! Imagine the Possibilities

Hello!

I came across a great sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch and wanted to play along. I bet you are sure tired of seeing these same colors on the blog, but I am really loving the combination lately. I pulled out the new In Color Baked Brown Sugar and created a base and a second layer. I stamped the second layer with the set Dictionary to add a bit of something to it. Next I used a scrap of the retired DSP to create a banner. Next I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana and cut it out with the Apocethary Accents Framelits. I think this is one of my favorite sentiments that I hardly ever use.  It comes from the retired set Word Play. Thanks for stopping by!
