Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grunge

Hello and Happy Friday!

I am so glad it is Friday and I can’t wait for the weekend! I put together this quick card featuring the Gorgeous Grunge and Off the Grid stamp sets which are available in the new 2013-2014 Annual Catalog! I looove these sets! So I used the sketch from Unscripted Sketches this week and decided I wanted to make a masculine card. I started with a base of Basic Gray and added some retired Basic Gray DSP. The Old Olive scallops are from a previous My Paper Pumpkin kit and I backed those on a layer of Bermuda Bay. I stamped the stamps in Basic Gray, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay randomly and the sentiment comes from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Lego Card Punch Art

Hello!

So…I am not one to make punch art, but when my little cousin said he wanted a “Orange and Blue Lego” card for his birthday, I couldn’t say “no”. Lol! So I gave it a try. Since this is a masculine card, it is perfect for the challenge at Crafty Creations. I started out with a base of Crumb Cake, a layer of white and then another layer of Crumb Cake. To create the legos, I used a hole punch and then sponged the edges with the coordinating ink. I used my Two-Way Glue Pen to adhere the circles on the blocks. I created a flag from some Pool Party cardstock and stamped the Happy Birthday from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes. The stamp has more wording, but I colored just the Happy Birthday with my Basic Gray Marker. I added a Tangerine Tango button with some Pool Party Baker’s Twine.

While this isn’t normally my style, it is great to step out of the box and create something different. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Happiest Birthday Wishes Scallop

Hello!

I just loved the sketch challenge at Just Us Girls and wanted to give it a try. I turned to Pool Party for the base of my card. I have been dying to use Crumb Cake or Basic Gray, but I am totally out off cardstock except for little scraps! My order can’t get here soon enough! But anyway…I embossed a piece of Summer Starfruit with the Honeycomb embossing folder and then added a tag from the Pop Up Posie kit (retired) on top of that. I used some Basic Gray DSP to make a flag and layered a large scallop punched from Smoky Slate on top of that. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes onto Basic Gray and Summer Starfruit and punched out each layer and popped them up on dimensionals. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Masculine Birthday

Hello!

So this is about as easy as a card can get. The challenge over at The Paper Players was to create a Clean & Simple (CAS) Masculine Birthday card. I had my May Paper Pumpkin box laying open on my desk and the Designer Series Paper caught my eye. I layered a piece of that on a layer of Pool Party and then a base of Basic Black. I added a large metal button from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit and tied it with some Pool Party Baker’s Twine. I colored part of the Happy Birthday sentiment from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes with my Basic Gray marker and flagged the end. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Mosaic Embossing Folder

Hello!

I hope you had a great weekend! I created the fun card for a couple challenges. First I got the sketch from clean&simple. I drew my inspiration from the picture challenge at Stampin’ Celebration. I pulled out the Mosaic Embossing Folder and some retired Flirtatious DSP to create some patterns like the picture had. I also used Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White like the picture. The challenge at Addicted to CAS was “Birthday” and luckily I needed a birthday card. The sentiment comes from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes. Underneath that, I tucked some Scalloped Polka Dot Ribbon and added a button with some Baker’s Twine. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Happiest Birthday Wishes

Hello!

I have a quick card for you today for the challenge at Techno Stamper. I first pulled out some Lucky Limeaid cardstock or my base (so sad its retiring) and stamped some ink spots (from My Paper Pumpkin) ink Lucky Limeiad. I created a couple flags from Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo. I pulled out the happy birthday stamp from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes and stamped it in Melon Mambo. I cut that out with the Apothecary Arts framelits and added a button with some Baker’s Twine. Well, gotta run! Happy Stamping!

Stampin’ Up! Calypso Coral Posie

Hello!

Tonight I created a card for the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts and the sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday. I flipped the sketch on its’ side and started with a base of Crumb Cake. I then created a flower from the Pop Up Posies Kit available in the Spring Catalog and added a Crumb Cake button in the middle. I created a couple smaller flowers with the Boho Blossoms punch. A bit of Raspberry Ripple ribbon and a sentiment from the Happiest Birthday Wishes set finished off the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Masculine Geometric

Hello,

Today I created a card for the sketch at Unscripted Sketches. This was a great sketch because you can do so many different things with it. My color inspiration came from a picture I took while my friend and I were in Chicago one weekend last year. We went to the Museum of Contemporary Art and they had this piece and I fell in love with the colors. Not exactly sure what it is or what it is made of, but the colors are awesome (see below). So I started out with a base of Early Espresso and then using my square punch and paper snips, I created the arrows from Pool Part, Night of Navy and Lucky Limeaid cardstock. The “Its your day” phrase comes from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes. Thanks for stopping by! Happy stamping!

Stampin’ UP! Happiest Birthday Wishes

Hello!

The Deconstructed Sketch had a great layout this week so I created a card to participate. I started with a base of Sahara Sand and added some Sycamore Street DSP and another layer of Sahara Sand. I flagged a piece of Tangerine Tango and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. Using the Apothecary Accents framelits I punched out the square and then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Happiest Birthday Wishes in Island Indigo.

Stampin’ UP! Sycamore Street DSP

Hi!

I created this card for the sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps. I started out making a masculine with the Tangerine Tango Designer Series paper from the set Sycamore Street. But then, a flower was the only thing I could think of to use for the element. I layered a couple small scallop punches and crumpled them up a bit. I used a Tangerine Tango button from Sale-A-Bration and tied a bit of Pool Party Baker’s Twine through the middle. I also sponged a bit of Craft Whisper White onto the DSP to give it a bit of a muted look. The sentiment comes from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes. Thanks for stopping by!
